- • Own the end-to-end product vision, strategy, and roadmap for tools used by over 13,000 Independent candidates to run, win, and serve in office across all 50 states.
- • Partner closely with the Chief Product Officer, Design, and Engineering teams to translate ideas into scalable, user-centered product solutions that empower Independents to bypass traditional party structures.
- • Drive user adoption and growth by designing and optimizing conversion funnels that guide users from exploring a candidacy to launching successful campaigns and serving in office.
- • Conduct and organize user research and testing across a politically diverse user base to deeply understand needs, behaviors, and pain points, and translate insights into product improvements.
- • Productize emerging AI tools to enhance platform functionality, automate workflows, and scale product impact without increasing headcount.
- • Apply quantitative and qualitative methods to validate product hypotheses, measure user engagement, and improve key metrics such as activation, retention, and campaign success rates.
- • Leverage data to make decisions, prioritize initiatives, and demonstrate product impact through clear reporting and iteration based on real-world outcomes.
- • Maintain a relentless focus on users who prioritize people over parties and community over special interests, ensuring every product decision aligns with the mission of democratizing democracy.
- • Collaborate with stakeholders across politics, operations, and communications to align product development with broader organizational goals and campaign support initiatives.
- • Balance strategic long-term planning with rapid execution in a fast-paced, remote startup environment where agility and impact are paramount.
- • Actively use and understand emerging AI tools, including prompt engineering, to improve personal productivity and enhance product features.
- • Communicate clearly and directly with cross-functional teams, delivering and receiving candid feedback to foster continuous team growth and alignment.
- • Ensure product solutions are accessible, intuitive, and effective for users with varying levels of technical expertise and political experience.
- • Maintain a deep curiosity about the American political system and how technology can remove systemic barriers for Independent candidates.
- • Work independently with high ownership while thriving in collaborative, real-time problem-solving environments that demand speed and adaptability.
- • Translate mission-driven goals into measurable product outcomes that advance the organization’s objective: making people matter more than money in democracy.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience building tech products with increasing responsibility and proven success
- • Demonstrated track record of taking products from 0 to 1 and beyond, including pivoting when data indicates a better path
- • Strong user-obsessed mindset with experience conducting user research and translating insights into product improvements
- • Proficiency in applying quantitative and qualitative methods to validate ideas and optimize product metrics
- • Active use of and understanding of emerging AI tools and prompt engineering to scale product and personal productivity
- • Baseline understanding of how the American political system works
