- • As a Staff Product Manager for Yield at Airwallex, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company’s investment product, which enables businesses to earn competitive returns on idle cash without the constraints of traditional term deposits. This role is critical to driving customer stickiness, long-term engagement, and revenue growth by transforming idle liquidity into a strategic financial asset for global businesses.
- • You will define and own the end-to-end product strategy, vision, and roadmap for the Yield product, ensuring alignment with Airwallex’s mission to build the global payments and financial platform of the future. Your leadership will directly influence how businesses manage treasury and cash optimization at scale, positioning Airwallex as an innovator in embedded finance.
- • Day to day, you will partner closely with Sydney-based engineering and design teams to translate strategic goals into high-quality, scalable features across web and mobile platforms. This includes clarifying requirements, evaluating technical trade-offs, and establishing realistic timelines to ensure timely delivery of intuitive user experiences.
- • You will collaborate with commercial, marketing, legal, and finance teams to navigate complex regulatory and operational landscapes, ensuring that product innovations remain compliant while maintaining simplicity and ease of use for end users. This involves synthesizing input from diverse stakeholders to balance risk, opportunity, and user-centric design.
- • A core part of your role will be deeply understanding user needs, target markets, and the competitive landscape by leveraging customer feedback, partner insights, and market research to inform prioritization and validate new opportunities for product expansion.
- • You will manage the inherent tension between long-term product vision and near-term growth objectives, making data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment. This includes adapting quickly to emerging trends in finance, payments, and technology while maintaining strategic focus.
- • You will lead the extension of Yield into new verticals and use cases—from concept through validation to launch—owning the full lifecycle of innovation and ensuring new propositions deliver measurable value to customers and the business.
- • Continuously monitoring product performance, you will drive operational improvements, track key metrics, and stay ahead of industry developments to ensure Yield remains differentiated and competitive in a rapidly evolving market.
- • You will thrive in Airwallex’s culture of founder-like energy, where curiosity, first-principles thinking, and bias for action are rewarded. You’ll use AI and data to work smarter, solve complex problems faster, and make impactful decisions with confidence.
- • Working within a high-performing, globally distributed team of over 2,000 innovators across 26 offices, you’ll benefit from exposure to world-class talent and the backing of top-tier investors like Sequoia, Visa, and Salesforce Ventures, accelerating your professional growth.
- • In this role, you will achieve mastery in product leadership within the fintech space, gaining deep expertise in embedded finance, treasury management, and regulated product development—skills that are highly transferable and in demand across the global tech and finance industries.
- • You will have the opportunity to leave a lasting impact on a product that is already serving over 200,000 businesses worldwide, including household names like Qantas, SHEIN, Brex, and Rippling, while helping Airwallex scale toward its vision of becoming the default financial operating system for global business.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of professional experience in Product Management, with a proven track record of delivering complex B2B or fintech products from concept to launch.
- • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Business, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- • Demonstrated ability to communicate product strategy clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives, engineers, and external stakeholders.
- • Strong analytical mindset with expertise in structuring complex problems, leveraging data and first-principles reasoning to drive decisions.
- • Experience working effectively in cross-functional, cross-cultural teams, particularly with engineering, design, commercial, legal, and finance stakeholders.
- • Proven drive, grit, and ownership mentality—ability to move ideas to reality quickly in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

- • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits, including private medical insurance, mental health support, and wellness allowances.
- • Generous professional development budget for conferences, courses, and certifications to support continuous learning and career growth.
