- • As a Staff Sales Engineer at Atropos Health, you will serve as a critical technical and strategic bridge between the company’s innovative GENEVA™ OS platform and life sciences organizations seeking to close evidence gaps using real-world data. Your role is pivotal in translating complex healthcare analytics into compelling, customer-centric value propositions that drive revenue growth and accelerate the adoption of data-driven medicine across pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare enterprises.
- • You will collaborate closely with the sales team to identify, engage, and qualify life sciences prospects by deeply understanding their clinical, operational, and research challenges—then aligning Atropos Health’s solutions to address unmet needs in evidence generation, cohort curation, and real-world evidence (RWE) analytics. This includes conducting discovery calls, mapping customer workflows, and tailoring technical narratives to resonate with scientific, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
- • A core responsibility is designing and delivering high-impact, customized product demonstrations and presentations that showcase the power of Atropos’ Temporal Query Language (TQL), cohort analytics, and evidence generation capabilities. You will translate technical functionality into clear business outcomes—such as reduced time-to-insight, improved trial design, or enhanced regulatory submissions—ensuring clients grasp both the scientific rigor and commercial ROI of the platform.
- • You will act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, responding to complex client inquiries about data provenance, methodological validity, scalability, and integration with existing systems (e.g., EHRs, claims databases, CDMs). Your deep fluency in healthcare data types (EMR, claims, labs, registries) and analytical methods will enable you to anticipate objections, clarify limitations, and position Atropos as a trusted partner in evidence-based decision-making.
- • You will partner with product management and engineering teams to field customer feedback, prioritize feature requests, and influence product roadmap direction—ensuring Atropos Health’s solutions evolve in direct response to real-world market demands from life sciences clients. Your voice will be instrumental in shaping the platform’s usability, analytical depth, and clinical relevance.
- • You will cultivate and sustain long-term relationships with key customer stakeholders—including medical affairs, HEOR, RWE, and clinical development leads—by acting as a consistent, knowledgeable point of contact who understands their strategic goals and helps them achieve measurable impact through Atropos’ technology.
- • You will represent Atropos Health at industry conferences, workshops, and webinars (e.g., ISPOR, DIA, ASHG, HIMSS) to generate leads, demonstrate thought leadership, and expand the company’s visibility within the life sciences and real-world evidence communities.
- • You will develop a nuanced understanding of pricing models, value-based selling, and ROI frameworks specific to healthcare and life sciences, enabling you to articulate financial and clinical benefits in terms that resonate with CFOs, CMOs, and VPs of RWE—turning technical capabilities into compelling business cases.
- • You will operate with high autonomy and initiative in a fast-paced, remote-first startup environment, embodying Atropos Health’s core values of Bias to Action, Intellectual Honesty, and Impactful Innovation—taking ownership of complex sales cycles, adapting messaging in real time, and continuously elevating your expertise in healthcare data science and commercial strategy.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of experience in healthcare, consulting, pharmaceuticals, or biotech in a customer-facing role, with proven success in selling or delivering real-world evidence, precision medicine, or healthcare analytics solutions to life sciences clients.
- • Strong technical proficiency in SQL, with hands-on experience querying and manipulating large healthcare datasets (EMR, claims, labs, registries); experience with R, Python, or similar analytical languages is a strong plus.
- • Prior experience working with real-world healthcare data sources and deep understanding of their advantages, limitations, and use cases in clinical research, regulatory submissions, or commercial decision-making.
- • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams, translate technical concepts into business value, and influence deal outcomes through consultative, solution-oriented engagement.
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex scientific, technical, and analytical concepts to diverse audiences including scientists, clinicians, executives, and regulatory stakeholders.
- • Advanced degree (e.g., PhD, PharmD, MPH, MD, or Master’s in Clinical Informatics) in a clinical or healthcare-related field is preferred.
- • Proven aptitude and success in startup environments—comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and taking ownership of outcomes without extensive oversight.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Comprehensive health benefits package including employer-paid medical, dental, vision, life, STD, and LTD insurance, plus FSA eligibility.
- • Generous parental leave policy offering up to 12 weeks of paid leave for new parents who have completed 6+ months of service.
- • Retirement savings support through a 401(k) plan with Human Interest, enabling long-term financial wellness.
- • Fully remote-first work environment with flexible vacation policy, empowering employees to design their ideal work-life integration.
- • Home office stipend provided to all full-time employees to support productive and ergonomic remote workspace setup.
- • Regular company offsites (2–3 times annually) to foster connection, collaboration, and team cohesion across distributed teams.
