📋 Description

• As a Staff Software Engineer at Blackpoint Cyber, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s mission to deliver national security-grade cybersecurity solutions to commercial customers worldwide, directly contributing to the protection of a rapidly growing client base against evolving cyber threats.
• You will be instrumental in shaping the technical direction of Blackpoint’s cybersecurity platform by leading full-stack development efforts that combine innovation, scalability, and security to meet the demands of a hyper-growth, enterprise-focused environment.
• Day to day, you will be responsible for delivering business-critical outcomes through end-to-end ownership of product features, from concept to deployment, ensuring exceptional user experiences that delight customers and align with strategic business goals.
• You will lead and drive complex projects across the full technology stack, including Typescript, React, and Node.js services deployed on Kubernetes, making architectural decisions that balance performance, scalability, and resilience.
• You will leverage your expertise in design patterns and system architecture to optimize applications for high availability and fault tolerance, ensuring long-term reliability of critical cybersecurity infrastructure.
• You will act as a technical mentor and team player, fostering collaboration across cross-functional groups, guiding junior engineers, and promoting knowledge sharing to elevate team performance.
• You will communicate technical progress and challenges clearly to leadership and stakeholders, translating complex engineering work into actionable insights that support business objectives.
• You will champion the integration of AI-powered tools to accelerate development workflows, automate testing and observability, and improve team productivity while maintaining rigorous standards for code quality, security, and responsible AI use.
• You will work within a fast-paced, Agile environment, leading sprint planning, breaking down large initiatives into manageable tasks, and ensuring alignment between engineering efforts and company-wide goals.
• You will apply deep expertise in both frontend and backend technologies to build secure, scalable systems, including designing and consuming REST, GraphQL, and gRPC APIs, and optimizing database performance across SQL and NoSQL platforms.
• You will contribute to a culture of technical excellence by advocating for best practices in security, CI/CD automation, and code quality, helping to safeguard sensitive data and maintain compliance in a high-stakes cybersecurity domain.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience in full-stack development with a proven track record of delivering scalable, high-performance systems in fast-paced, enterprise-level environments.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies including React and Typescript, with a strong grasp of modern frontend architecture, design patterns, and best practices for building responsive, maintainable user interfaces.
• Strong backend development skills with Node.js, including hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining microservices architectures deployed on Kubernetes.
• Expertise in designing and consuming APIs (REST, GraphQL, or gRPC), with a focus on creating secure, scalable, and high-performance services that protect sensitive data and support integration needs.
• Proven ability to architect full-stack solutions that balance performance, scalability, and reliability from the database layer through to the user interface, ensuring cohesive system behavior under load.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab, including automating testing, deployment, and scaling of services to support rapid, reliable releases.
