- • As a Staff Software Engineer at Zencoder, you will serve as a hands-on technical leader shaping the future of AI-powered software development by integrating generative coding workflows into developer tools and infrastructure.
- • Day to day, you will write production code in JavaScript, Rust, Python, or JVM languages, lead architecture and design discussions for distributed systems, mentor engineers, and drive technical excellence across cloud-native platforms on AWS or Google Cloud.
- • Zencoder is an early-stage, founder-led AI platform backed by serial entrepreneur Andrew Filev, focused on enterprise-grade, secure, and scalable AI-assisted coding tools with on-premise, hybrid, and cloud deployment options.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in AI-assisted development, distributed systems, and technical leadership while influencing engineering culture, reducing technical debt, and shipping high-impact features that redefine how software is built.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of software engineering experience with large-scale, production-grade systems
- • Expertise in at least one of: JavaScript, Python, Rust, or JVM-based (Java/Kotlin) languages, with proficiency in at least two
- • Proven experience building and scaling distributed systems with focus on reliability, performance, and observability in cloud environments (AWS or Google Cloud)
- • Strong background in cloud architecture and infrastructure design
- • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex systems, reduce technical debt, and balance speed with maintainability
- • Deep familiarity with AI assistants and the ability to translate AI trends into practical product improvements
