📋 Description

• Lead the technical direction and architecture for the Billing & Licensing platform, a critical component of Harness' AI Software Delivery Platform, ensuring it can process millions of events daily while delivering a seamless, AWS-like billing experience.
• Design and build scalable, low-latency, high-concurrency backend systems using Java or Go, driving platform-level coding standards, best practices, and technical excellence across architecture, development, deployment, and production operations.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and product teams to make critical technical decisions, mentor engineers, and influence engineering practices to elevate code quality, performance, and system reliability across teams.
• Take ownership of key production systems including monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization, while shaping the technical roadmap to anticipate future scalability and platform requirements in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building backend SaaS systems in Java or Go with strong emphasis on architecture and hands-on coding
• Skilled in designing data-intensive, low-latency, multi-tenant systems
• Comfortable guiding teams, reviewing code, and promoting best practices as a mentor and influencer
