- • As a Staff Software Engineer on the Integrations team at Checkr, you will drive the technical architecture of complex, multi-system workflows that connect Checkr’s background check platform to HR tech stacks like Workday, iCIMS, and SAP SuccessFactors, enabling seamless screening workflows for recruiters and candidates.
- • You will own the full product lifecycle from ideation and design through implementation and release, collaborating with Design, Product, Data, and other teams to ship impactful features and instrument product experiments.
- • You will define and lead technical initiatives to scale systems, address technical debt, and ensure quality, reliability, and scalability across services while mentoring engineers and spreading development best practices through knowledge sharing and documentation.
- • You will partner with product and engineering management in quarterly and annual planning, bring a customer-centric, product-first mindset, and help enable faster hiring and better experiences for employers and candidates by setting the technical bar for how Checkr connects to the broader HR landscape.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- • 10+ years of software development experience and 3+ years in a project leadership role
- • Deep expertise in backend development (e.g., Ruby, Node.js, or similar) with working proficiency in frontend technologies like JavaScript and React
- • Experience building scalable systems with automated testing, observability, and high performance
- • Strong communication, project management, and mentoring abilities
- • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
