📋 Description
- • As a Staff Software Engineer in Product Engineering at Ashby, you will own end-to-end product development, combining engineering, product, and design responsibilities to solve complex customer problems in Talent Acquisition software.
- • Day to day, you will research competitors, write product specs, create wireframes, implement features across the full stack, collaborate with stakeholders, and ship impactful product changes with minimal process and maximum ownership.
- • Ashby is a fast-growing startup serving notable customers like Notion, Linear, Shopify, and Snowflake, with tens of millions in ARR and >100% year-over-year growth, offering the autonomy of a seed-stage company with the scale and stability of a growth-stage business.
- • In this role, you will deepen your product thinking, technical design, and infrastructure skills while building leverage through abstractions and tooling, all within a culture that values ownership, minimal meetings, and deliberate communication.
🎯 Requirements
- • Full-stack engineering experience with the ability to work across frontend and backend systems
- • Proven ability to tackle projects with high product and technical ambiguity
- • Experience owning projects end-to-end, including spec writing, design, and implementation
- • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders
- • Ambition to continuously improve skills and thrive in a high-ownership, low-process environment
- • Comfort with TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Node.js, Postgres, and Redis (or strong fundamentals and learning agility)
