- • Design, implement, and maintain highly scalable, distributed software systems that form Crusoe's core security engineering foundation.
- • Architect and manage critical platform security services at scale, including PKI infrastructure, SPIFFE/SPIRE for identity, and HashiCorp Vault for secrets management to ensure secure credential handling across distributed environments.
- • Develop high-throughput control integrations and data pipelines to collect, normalize, and analyze security telemetry from IAM systems, logs, vulnerability scanners, and continuous compliance (CCM/GRC) tools.
- • Architect advanced metrics engines, real-time dashboards, and analytics pipelines to provide continuous visibility into compliance health, technical risk posture, and emerging security threats.
- • Integrate and scale automated security checks within CI/CD pipelines to enforce consistent security policies across development workflows.
- • Engineer secure, high-throughput distributed systems using deep Linux knowledge and Kubernetes expertise to solve infrastructure-level challenges.
- • Partner closely with product security, infrastructure security platform engineering, and specialized security domain teams to translate complex business and regulatory needs into durable, automated technical solutions.
- • Provide technical direction, mentorship, and architectural oversight across the security engineering team, fostering high engineering standards and operational excellence.
- • Operate with a security-first mindset as a systems engineer, focusing on building foundational software platforms that enable secure-by-default production environments rather than acting as a traditional security auditor.
- • Tackle complex security and compliance puzzles at cutting-edge scale within cloud and distributed infrastructure environments.
- • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to redefine compliance adherence for modern AI and energy infrastructure.
- • Have autonomy and responsibility to innovate, experiment, and influence how Crusoe establishes its core security assurance pipelines.
- • Maintain production-grade systems with a focus on fault tolerance, high QPS, and mission-critical reliability across public cloud environments.
- • Implement and maintain identity and secrets management solutions in production, ensuring fine-grained access controls, secure data retention, and secure third-party integrations.
- • Optimize Kubernetes control planes, develop custom operators, and troubleshoot complex cluster issues at scale.
- • Design and deploy infrastructure automation and robust abstractions such as platform-level service meshes to reduce operational complexity.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 5+ years of hands-on, production-grade programming in Go or Rust
- • 4+ years of hands-on experience deploying, securing, and managing applications at scale on Kubernetes and public cloud environments (GCP or AWS)
- • Proven track record of designing, building, and operating high-QPS, fault-tolerant, mission-critical distributed systems
- • Strong hands-on experience with major public cloud infrastructure providers (GCP or AWS)
- • Deep familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tooling practices
- • Expert-level proficiency in distributed systems, infrastructure automation, and developing automated abstractions such as Kubernetes operators
