• • As a Staff Supplier Quality Specialist, your day-to-day responsibilities will be multifaceted and critical to our operational success. You will be tasked with developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive supplier quality assurance programs. This includes establishing robust quality agreements with key suppliers, ensuring their processes align with Shield AI’s stringent requirements and industry best practices. A significant part of your role will involve conducting thorough supplier audits, both on-site and remotely, to assess their manufacturing capabilities, quality control systems, and compliance with regulatory standards. You will meticulously review supplier documentation, including First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, Certificates of Conformance (CoC), and material certifications, to verify product conformity.
• • You will proactively identify and address potential quality issues within the supply chain, working collaboratively with suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). This involves leading investigations into non-conformances, analyzing root causes, and driving effective resolution strategies. Furthermore, you will monitor supplier performance through key quality metrics and performance indicators, providing regular reports and feedback to internal stakeholders and supplier management. Your expertise will be crucial in the qualification and onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring they meet our rigorous quality standards from the outset. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of our supplier quality processes and methodologies, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
• • You will serve as the primary technical liaison between Shield AI’s engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams and our supplier base, fostering strong, collaborative relationships. This involves providing expert guidance on quality-related matters, interpreting technical specifications, and ensuring clear communication channels are maintained. Your role will extend to managing the supplier change notification process, evaluating the impact of proposed changes on product quality and reliability, and approving or rejecting them as appropriate. You will also be involved in risk assessment activities related to the supply chain, developing mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and product integrity.
