📋 Description

• As a Startup Growth Advisor for the APAC region at Vercel, you will be at the forefront of empowering the next generation of AI-native web builders. Vercel provides developers with cutting-edge tools and cloud infrastructure, enabling them to create, scale, and secure faster, more personalized web experiences. You will be instrumental in guiding startups through their journey, from initial adoption of Vercel's platform to achieving significant scale, fostering deep relationships with founders and technical leaders who are making critical architectural decisions.
• Your role is pivotal in helping startups navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of AI-native development. You will leverage your expertise in Vercel's offerings, combined with exceptional pattern recognition skills, to identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth and deeper integration. This involves understanding the unique challenges and ambitions of each startup, from pre-seed to Series D and beyond, and providing tailored strategic guidance.
• A core responsibility will be to build and nurture trusted relationships with founders, developers, and technical decision-makers. This requires a rapid development of a profound understanding of their existing architecture, specific use cases, technical constraints, and long-term vision. By speaking their language and offering insightful perspectives, you will establish credibility and become a valued partner.
• You will be actively involved in landing new logos, driving early activation, and ensuring Vercel becomes the default choice for these emerging companies before competitors gain traction. This proactive approach involves identifying high-potential startups early in their lifecycle and engaging them with compelling value propositions.
• A key aspect of your role is to meticulously analyze customer signals and usage patterns. This data-driven approach will enable you to determine the most impactful next steps, focusing your efforts on the highest-leverage opportunities for adoption, expansion, or re-engagement. You will act as a strategic quarterback, orchestrating the involvement of Sales Engineers, Developer Support Engineers, Product teams, and other support functions at precisely the right moments to ensure successful customer outcomes.
• You will own and grow a dedicated portfolio of startup customers, partnering with them as they transition from early-stage adoption to significant scaling phases. This involves a holistic understanding of their growth trajectory and how Vercel can continuously support their evolving needs.
• Pipeline generation and outbound prospecting will be crucial, requiring you to identify and engage with promising startups that align with Vercel's strategic growth objectives in the APAC market.
• A significant focus will be placed on guiding founders and developers as they embrace AI-native features and architectures. You will educate them on how Vercel's Frontend Cloud seamlessly integrates into the dynamic developer ecosystem, supporting new workloads, demanding performance requirements, and innovative scaling patterns.
• To maximize your impact and efficiency, you will be encouraged to leverage automation, AI-powered agents, and self-built workflows. This allows you to operate at a high level of leverage, dedicating your time and energy to the most impactful customer-facing activities.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in a technical sales, solutions engineering, developer relations, or startup advisory role, with a strong understanding of the startup ecosystem and its unique challenges.
• Deep technical understanding of modern web development, frontend architecture, cloud infrastructure, and emerging AI-native technologies, with the ability to articulate these concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with founders, technical leaders, and engineering teams, understanding their business objectives and technical constraints.
• Experience in driving adoption, expansion, and revenue growth within a portfolio of customers, with a track record of exceeding targets.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret usage data and customer signals to identify opportunities and drive strategic decisions.
• Self-starter mentality with a high degree of ownership, accountability, and a proven ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced, and evolving environments.
