📋 Description

  • • Serve as the first dedicated Strategic Account Director for Decagon’s healthcare vertical, responsible for defining and executing the go-to-market strategy across US Payer, Provider, and Life Sciences markets.
  • • Build and close foundational, multi-year, 7-figure-plus enterprise deals with top US health plans, integrated delivery networks, academic medical centers, and leading Life Sciences companies.
  • • Establish and nurture deep, trusted relationships with C-suite stakeholders including CIO, CXO, CMO, COO, Chief AI Officer, Chief Digital Officer, and line-of-business owners.
  • • Author and continuously iterate the healthcare-specific sales playbook, including ICP definitions, account planning frameworks, qualification rubrics, deal-shape templates, champion enablement strategies, and competitive narratives.
  • • Translate complex healthcare buyer pain points into quantifiable ROI cases that champions can present internally to CFOs and procurement teams.
  • • Forecast and accurately report on sales pipeline and revenue, ensuring transparency and alignment with executive leadership.
  • • Act as the primary conduit for healthcare buyer insights, feeding product, engineering, and compliance teams with feedback to shape Decagon’s healthcare-specific AI agent capabilities, trust, safety, and regulatory posture.
  • • Maintain expert-level knowledge of healthcare regulations, payer and provider economic models, and the competitive landscape for AI in customer experience.
  • • Operate in a high-ambiguity, early-stage environment where product features, pricing models, and compliance requirements are still being shaped by early customer engagements.
  • • Travel periodically to meet with clients, attend industry events, and collaborate with internal teams across departments.
  • • Collaborate directly with business vertical leadership, deployment strategists, product, and engineering to align sales initiatives with product development roadmaps.
  • • Set the standard and benchmark for future healthcare sales hires by establishing repeatable processes, messaging, and relationship-building practices.
  • • Own the end-to-end sales cycle from initial outreach through contract negotiation and closing, with accountability for meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
  • • Demonstrate exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills tailored to C-suite decision-makers in highly regulated environments.
  • • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder procurement processes with stringent security and compliance requirements common in healthcare.
  • • Leverage deep market knowledge to articulate how Decagon’s conversational AI disrupts traditional member, patient, and HCP experience models.
  • • Contribute to shaping the broader healthcare positioning of Decagon’s platform by identifying and advocating for product enhancements aligned with market needs.
