  • • The Strategic Account Executive is responsible for achieving quota by selling Commvault’s cyber resilience solutions into a defined account list of current customers and high-value prospects in the Upper Midwest region. This field sales role drives long-term, multi-quarter account penetration and customer satisfaction through strategic planning and execution.
  • • Day to day, the AE will achieve quarterly and annual quotas by selling to new and established large, complex prospects; develop and implement strategic account plans with performance objectives and financial targets for one- and three-year periods; create sales campaigns and coordinate executive involvement with customer leadership; manage a matrixed sales team including liaison with Deal Desk, inside sales, partners, channels, sales engineers, professional services, finance, and legal; establish and maintain productive relationships with key personnel in target accounts; construct and deliver CXO-level business cases including ROI, TCO, and strategic value propositions; prepare and present sales proposals; identify and build strategic partner relationships; negotiate and close deals per company processes; ensure orders meet legal and financial requirements; maintain industry and product knowledge; and plan, attend, and coordinate executive briefings.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree and proven sales experience required
  • • Demonstrable success in software sales at the enterprise level; selling six-and-seven figure deals and managing an integrated selling team
  • • Experience in the storage management or data management industry
  • • Minimum of two years success in identifying, building relationships and selling directly or with partners
  • • Excellent communication, persuasive, and listening skills
  • • Background in IT infrastructure; SaaS experience preferred
