  • • The Strategic Account Executive - Virtual role at Alight, Inc. is critical to driving revenue retention, growth, and client satisfaction across a portfolio of 1-6 strategic accounts by serving as a trusted advisor at the C-Suite and Head of Shared Services level. This position directly impacts Alight’s mission to empower clients to build healthier, more financially secure workforces by unifying the benefits ecosystem across health, wealth, wellbeing, navigation, and absence management.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include cultivating deep executive relationships to identify opportunities for enhanced product engagement, collaborating with Solution Architects to develop bundled solutions that showcase Alight’s "One Alight" advantage, and leading renewal and expansion motions through strategic account planning, commercial strategy development, and cross-functional partnership with internal teams such as Finance, Delivery, and Product.
  • • The role requires proactive communication of account health, growth opportunities, and strategic direction to internal leadership, while maintaining a strong pulse on client satisfaction through continuous monitoring and feedback loops to ensure long-term partnership and retention.
  • • Strategic Account Executives are expected to leverage their expertise in Benefits or Leaves to become generalists across Alight’s full portfolio, using data and analytical storytelling to articulate value, renegotiate KPIs, secure incremental budgets, and drive client-centric outcomes aligned with business objectives.
  • • As a trusted advisor, the individual must understand client business challenges, Alight’s full product suite, competitive landscape, and effectively collaborate with internal commercial and operational teams to solve complex challenges and deliver tailored solutions that exceed client expectations.
  • • The position demands resilience, tenacity, and proactive leadership in a highly matrixed environment, with the ability to inspire teams and rally organizational support behind strategic initiatives while managing a travel expectation of 25-50% (sometimes on short notice) to support client meetings.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 10+ years of professional sales or account management experience, or 10+ years of direct experience in either Benefits or Leaves administration.
  • • Proven expertise in strategic sales methodology, forecasting accuracy, process discipline, and client management leadership with a track record of driving revenue retention and growth in complex enterprise environments.
  • • Exceptional presentation and communication skills at the C-Suite level, with the ability to articulate value, influence decision-makers, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders.
