Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own and execute a high-impact strategic account plan for global automotive OEMs and battery manufacturers within H.B. Fuller’s fast-growing ePower & Storage division, driving multi-million-dollar revenue growth through our Thermal Interface Materials (TIMs), patented Thermal Propagation Prevention Foams, structural adhesives, and sealants.
  • • Act as the single point of accountability for every aspect of the customer relationship—from first technical conversation to multi-year supply agreement—ensuring that H.B. Fuller is specified into 3–5-year vehicle and battery programs before competitors even know the opportunity exists.
  • • Map and influence complex stakeholder ecosystems: identify program managers, R&D directors, purchasing VPs, plant engineers, and sustainability officers; tailor value propositions to each persona and secure internal champions who will advocate for our solutions.
  • • Orchestrate cross-functional pursuit teams spanning R&D, operations, finance, legal, and supply chain to deliver integrated proposals that solve thermal runaway, lightweighting, and manufacturing throughput challenges faster and more profitably than anyone else in the market.
  • • Drive disciplined opportunity management in Salesforce.com: maintain real-time pipeline data, probability-weighted forecasts, competitive intelligence, and next-step actions so leadership can make swift resource-allocation decisions and Wall Street receives accurate guidance.
  • • Translate customer roadmaps into an innovation funnel that aligns our polymer chemists, application engineers, and regulatory experts with emerging EV architectures, solid-state battery chemistries, and next-gen module designs—turning technical risk into first-mover advantage.
  • • Negotiate multi-issue global frame agreements that balance price, volume, exclusivity, sustainability metrics, and long-term partnership clauses—securing optimal lifetime value while protecting margin and IP.
  • • Present quarterly business reviews to C-suite customers that quantify cost savings, COâ‚‚ reduction, safety improvements, and supply-chain resilience delivered by H.B. Fuller technologies, reinforcing our position as a strategic innovation partner rather than a commodity supplier.
  • • Travel up to 50 % (domestic and international) to customer tech centers, pilot plants, and manufacturing sites—carrying demo kits, running line trials, and training customer engineers on proper adhesive application and testing protocols.
  • • Champion a culture of commercial excellence by mentoring junior account managers, sharing win-loss analyses, and continuously refining playbooks that compress sales cycles and elevate win rates across the division.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 3 years of industrial B2B sales experience selling technical products into automotive, battery, or adjacent manufacturing markets
  • • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes from opportunity identification through negotiation and long-term account growth
  • • Proficiency with Salesforce.com or comparable CRM to maintain accurate pipeline data, forecasts, and customer activity records
  • • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 50 %, including occasional international trips
  • • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, materials science, marketing, or related technical field strongly preferred
  • • 5+ years of industrial sales experience and prior exposure to strategic planning and product portfolio management preferred

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive base salary of $100,000–$120,000 plus performance-based incentive compensation that rewards over-achievement
  • • Comprehensive total rewards package including medical, dental, vision, health & wellness programs, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off/holidays
  • • Collaborative, inclusive culture where employees around the world are seen, heard, and respected—recognized through global incentive and recognition programs
  • • Career-long learning opportunities via internal development platforms, tuition reimbursement, and exposure to cutting-edge EV and energy-storage technologies
