- • The Strategic Analytics and Insight Lead at OpenAI will drive high-impact initiatives that bridge data science, AI capabilities, and go-to-market strategy to improve commercial outcomes and operational efficiency across global teams.
- • This role is critical in translating complex technical innovations into actionable business insights, enabling leadership to make faster, data-informed decisions as OpenAI scales its products and market presence.
- • The person will lead strategic analytics initiatives from problem definition through execution, including building competitive intelligence frameworks, owning executive performance reporting, and defining scalable business review processes for GTM leadership.
- • They will partner with RevOps, Data Science, and GTM teams to operationalize AI-powered solutions, create enablement materials for sales teams, and ensure new tools are adopted effectively in daily workflows.
- • The role involves structuring ambiguous problems, synthesizing diverse data signals into clear recommendations, and driving clarity in fast-moving, high-priority contexts where strategy and execution intersect.
- • The individual will own business performance updates for GTM leadership, crafting executive-ready metrics, narratives, and insights for operating reviews that influence strategic direction and resource allocation.
- • They will define scalable operating rhythms and processes that improve decision-making cadence, alignment, and execution across commercial teams.
- • By working closely with product, sales, and leadership, the role ensures that AI and data science investments deliver measurable business impact and are aligned with commercial priorities.
- • The person will develop deep expertise in OpenAI’s GTM motion, market dynamics, and AI product ecosystem, becoming a trusted advisor on strategic opportunities and performance levers.
- • They will gain experience leading cross-functional initiatives without direct authority, refining their ability to influence, align stakeholders, and drive change in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, or consulting, preferably in high-growth technology environments
- • Background in top-tier strategy consulting (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or equivalent experience leading complex strategic initiatives
- • Strong understanding of business performance management, commercial metrics, and executive reporting
- • Experience partnering with sales, RevOps, business operations, or go-to-market leadership teams
- • Excellent problem-structuring and market intelligence skills, with ability to synthesize multiple signals into clear recommendations
- • Comfort working at the intersection of technical and business teams, translating analytical insights into operational impact
- • Familiarity with AI tools and workflows, and ability to quickly understand and apply new technologies to business problems
- • Working knowledge of SQL or Python sufficient to QA analytical outputs or AI-generated code
- • Exceptional communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level updates for senior leadership
- • Strong cross-functional leadership and influence without direct authority
