📋 Description

• As a Strategic Delivery Lead at OpenAI, you will define how the company orchestrates complex, multi-workstream customer programs end-to-end, translating executive-level business outcomes into delivery roadmaps and ensuring value realization in production.
• You will own the plan, governance, and execution of high-stakes programs, sequencing work across Forward Deployed Engineering, Research, Product, Partnerships, and customer teams while managing risk, change control, and critical path trade-offs.
• You will operate within OpenAI’s Forward Deployed Engineering team, which embeds with customers to turn research breakthroughs into production-grade systems and acts as the delivery engine for large-scale engagements.
• You will drive impact measured by time-to-first value, production adoption, and executive-level outcomes, while capturing field insights to inform product and research and hardening reusable patterns into platform capabilities.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years leading multi-workstream technical programs
• 5+ years steering C-suite governance in a consulting role or comparable technology leadership position
• Ability to orchestrate multidisciplinary teams including engineers, researchers, product, and partnerships
• Skill in bringing structure to ambiguity and translating between business and technical domains
• Experience guiding transformation with executives and partnering with C-suite on vision, strategy, and change management
• Willingness to travel 25-50% of the time for on-site customer engagement
