đź“‹ Description
- • Lead high-impact, complex AI deployments with international public sector customers outside the United States, including government departments, multilateral institutions, and strategic partners.
- • Serve as the accountable lead for international public sector engagements, ensuring alignment with clear outcomes, customer milestones, adoption metrics, and commercial commitments.
- • Translate between technical teams (Research, Engineering) and non-technical stakeholders (policy, security, operations, procurement) to communicate progress, risks, requirements, and dependencies clearly.
- • Partner with internal technical teams to scope projects, guide technical direction, anticipate blockers, and align cross-functional priorities around public-sector mission objectives.
- • Own and drive delivery workstreams led by specialist internal teams, ensuring clear problem-framing, milestone tracking, risk management, issue resolution, and translation of public-sector goals into technical execution plans.
- • Operate as a generalist across opportunity development, pilot shaping, delivery governance, adoption, and risk management as the team scales globally.
- • Exercise independent judgement and initiative under ambiguity, aligning with leadership priorities without day-to-day direction while escalating critical issues when needed.
- • Establish and institutionalize best practices for milestone tracking, internal coordination, customer governance, and delivery operations at scale.
- • Lead regular progress reviews with international public sector stakeholders to ensure transparency, build confidence in delivery, and maintain stakeholder alignment.
- • Identify and mitigate delivery, policy, security, procurement, data, and stakeholder risks early to maintain programme velocity and avoid critical blockers.
- • Navigate evolving requirements and ambiguity with composure, helping both internal and external teams stay aligned amid shifting priorities.
- • Help shape the future of OpenAI’s engagement with international public sector customers by developing reusable delivery practices, responsible AI deployment patterns, and milestone-based programme frameworks.
- • Forge strategic partnerships with public sector leaders and AI users globally to deliver the most impactful AI and AGI use cases aligned with strategic priorities.
- • Travel up to 50% to work on-site with international customers and partners, supporting deployments in the UK, EU, and other regions outside the United States.
- • Ensure all deployments meet government technical, policy, security, and sovereignty requirements with strong reliability and safety standards.
- • Drive organisational transformation initiatives in AI, digital, or technology domains directly with highly regulated public sector institutions.
- • Influence and shape customer decision-making at executive, policy, operational, and technical levels to drive clarity, accountability, and alignment across senior stakeholders.
- • Translate public-sector mission outcomes into technical execution plans with defined success metrics and measurable impact.
- • Build and maintain relationships across diverse stakeholders including researchers, engineers, policy leaders, procurement teams, delivery partners, and senior government officials.
- • Be motivated by enabling responsible, effective AI adoption in public institutions to improve public-service outcomes globally.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years in public sector consulting, delivery leadership, transformation, enterprise technology, or senior programme management.
- • Based in the UK or EU, or otherwise able to support public sector customers globally outside the United States.
- • Willingness to travel up to 50% to work on-site with customers and partners.
- • For UK-based candidates: hold or be eligible for UK SC/DV clearance; EU-based candidates must have regulated public sector experience.
- • Proven experience leading complex programmes in enterprise SaaS, AI/ML, consulting, systems integration, gov tech, or transformation environments.
- • Demonstrated track record of influencing and shaping customer decision-making at executive, policy, operational, and technical levels.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Opportunity to lead high-impact AI deployments with global public sector institutions.
- • High-trust, high-autonomy role with significant ownership over delivery outcomes.
