📋 Description

• As a Strategic Finance Generalist at Miter Inc., you will serve as a high-leverage analytical partner supporting the company’s mission to modernize construction contractor operations through AI and embedded payments, directly contributing to scalable financial systems that enable rapid growth.
• Day to day, you will build and refine financial plans, forecasts, and operating models; partner with functional leaders to track KPIs and turn data into actionable insights; manage procurement and vendor workflows; support month-end close; and automate manual processes using AI and systems design to improve operational efficiency.
• You will join a small, fast-moving finance team that acts as the analytical engine behind Miter’s biggest decisions, working closely with the Head of Finance and cross-functional leaders to drive disciplined scaling in a high-growth vertical software company backed by top-tier investors.
• In this role, you will develop deep expertise in strategic finance and operational systems, gain end-to-end visibility into a scaling business, and sharpen your ability to turn ambiguity into structured, high-impact recommendations that directly influence company strategy and execution.

🎯 Requirements

• 2–6 years of experience in strategic finance, business operations, consulting, banking, analytics, or operating roles at a high-growth company
• Strong financial modeling skills
• Experience solving ambiguous business problems using structured thinking, strong business judgment, and data-driven analysis
• Comfort working with business data, analytics tooling, and operational systems; SQL or BI tool familiarity is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools, automation, or lightweight workflows to improve efficiency and decision-making
• High ownership and bias toward action with strong written and verbal communication skills
