- • The Strategic Finance Partnerships role at OpenAI drives financial decision-making for growth and media partnerships, ensuring alignment with long-term strategy and sustainable unit economics.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include owning financial evaluations for partnerships, developing economic frameworks, partnering with Product and Partnerships teams, leading deal pricing and structuring, managing portfolio performance, integrating economics into forecasting, and identifying contractual risks.
- • The Applications Technology Strategic Finance team partners with Product to scale core offerings, lead revenue forecasting, and manage performance across the product portfolio, including pricing and partnership deal structuring.
- • In this role, you will shape how OpenAI approaches partnership unit economics, measurement, and incrementality, while gaining deep exposure to AI-driven business models and influencing the financial trajectory of cutting-edge products.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or buy-side investing with operational experience at a fast-paced, scaling company
- • Expert modeling skills, including building detailed product P&Ls and operating models
- • Strong ability to critically evaluate opportunities and risks in financials and distill complex data into actionable insights
- • Excellent communication skills and ability to craft compelling narratives using data for leadership
- • Familiarity with business models and metrics relevant to OpenAI, including contribution margin analysis
- • Experience with SQL or a willingness to learn
