📋 Description

• The Strategic Initiatives Lead at Abacum Technologies, Inc. is a high-impact, fluid role focused on solving the company’s most pressing strategic role reporting to the Chief of Staff, designed to tackle the business’s most critical and evolving challenges without being confined to a fixed function. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in ambiguous environments, think from first principles, and take extreme ownership of outcomes.
• Day to day, the person will identify high-leverage growth opportunities by analyzing channels, content formats, and distribution motions to build predictable pipeline; design and implement AI-native workflows using tools like Clay and n8n to automate manual processes; own end-to-end execution of focused work streams—from research and structuring to recommendation and implementation; and create repeatable playbooks that scale successful initiatives across the team.
• Abacum is a fast-growing Business Planning platform for finance teams, founded in 2020 by former CFOs and backed by over $100M in funding, including a $60M Series B in June 2025. With a global team of 100+ people across 30+ nationalities and headquarters in New York City, the company serves industry leaders like Strava, BetterUp, and Kajabi, helping finance teams shift from number crunching to strategic decision-making.
• In this role, the individual will develop deep strategic thinking, gain direct exposure to senior leadership and company-wide decision-making, build expertise in AI-driven growth operations, and learn how to build scalable systems from scratch—ultimately shaping their identity as a high-agency operator in a high-growth SaaS environment.

• Strong technical and analytical skills with fluency in data and metrics to inform strategy and pressure-test assumptions
• Bias to action and comfort with ambiguity—proactively identifying opportunities and building toward them without waiting for direction
• AI-pilled mindset with opinions on how AI should be leveraged across functions and eagerness to enable others to adopt it
• Ability to work with ambiguity long enough to form a clear point of view, then act decisively and with speed
• Experience in early-stage startups, consulting, strategy, or execution-heavy roles where building without a playbook was required
