- • Drive adoption of Walrus across the AI ecosystem by identifying, engaging, and cultivating relationships with key industry players including AI Builders, Data Vendors, Compute Networks, Agentic Frameworks, Coding Platforms, and Web3 ecosystems.
- • Structure, negotiate, and close complex partnership deals that align with Mysten Labs’ strategic objectives, ensuring mutually advantageous terms and meticulously drafting final partnership agreements.
- • Lead end-to-end deal execution from initial outreach through contract signing, integration, and long-term outcome management, collaborating cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
- • Develop deep expertise in Walrus products, target markets, and the evolving impact of blockchain and AI technologies on partner ecosystems to inform strategic decision-making.
- • Work within a defined process to identify critical external data points that inform leadership strategy across Partnerships, Product, and Marketing functions.
- • Operate as a frontline dealmaker with autonomy to pursue non-template business relationships that break from conventional partnership models.
- • Maintain a high standard of ethical conduct and embrace direct, transparent communication in all partner interactions.
- • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities in the fast-evolving crypto and AI landscape, where focus areas may change monthly and require rapid pivoting.
- • Travel internationally 20% or more of the time to meet with partners, attend industry events, and support deal negotiations in person.
- • Contribute to building foundational infrastructure for decentralized data protocols by aligning partnerships with the mission of decentralizing data infrastructure and improving the digital experience for all users.
- • Ensure all partnership activities comply with company policies and undergo required background checks prior to employment, including verification of employment history, education, criminal record, and other relevant information.
- • Recognize that hiring may involve technology-assisted tools, including AI, for candidate evaluation, with final decisions made by human reviewers.
- • Operate within a remote-first culture with a global team, contributing to a mission-driven organization backed by top-tier venture funds including Jump Crypto, Andreessen Horowitz, Binance Labs, Redpoint, Lightspeed, Coinbase Ventures, and others.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8–10 years of experience in Partnerships or Business Development within Data Infrastructure, Artificial Intelligence, or Information Technology
- • Working knowledge of Web3 business models and strong curiosity about the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Blockchains
- • Ability to understand complex technical models, architectures, and agentic workflows without being a data architect
- • Proven track record of constructing non-template business relationships and closing complex deals
- • Willingness and ability to travel internationally 20% or more of the time
- • High ethical standards and comfort with direct communication
