- • Serve as a Strategic Sourcing Specialist III responsible for sourcing and securing critical materials, equipment, and services for data center sites, power generation projects, innovation initiatives, and corporate functions.
- • Conduct end-to-end supplier engagement including obtaining and analyzing product and pricing data, performing comparative vendor analysis against historical benchmarks, and recommending optimal vendor selections based on cost, quality, and terms.
- • Manage all types of sourcing processes—formal, informal, and vendor screening—to identify and qualify suppliers for high-priority capital projects in data centers and power generation.
- • Lead multiple concurrent bid events including RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes, preparing comprehensive bid summaries and slide deck recommendations for leadership and stakeholder approval.
- • Identify, pre-qualify, and onboard new suppliers for services and equipment critical to Crusoe’s energy and infrastructure projects, including mechanical, electrical, and construction-related components.
- • Negotiate and execute a wide range of commercial agreements including Master Service Agreements, Master Purchase Agreements, Service Orders, Consulting Agreements, and EPC contracts.
- • Independently draft and redline commercial contracts by reviewing proposed terms, formulating original counter-arguments, and refining legal and commercial language directly within contract documents.
- • Administer active contracts, ensuring compliance with terms, tracking performance KPIs quarterly, and managing contract modifications and subcontracts as needed.
- • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability, responsiveness, and alignment with Crusoe’s operational and sustainability goals.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with Project Managers, Engineers, Legal, and other internal teams to align procurement strategy with project timelines, technical requirements, and risk mitigation plans.
- • Communicate project status, procurement progress, and potential delays or challenges to stakeholders with clarity and urgency, ensuring transparency across teams.
- • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to analyze pricing data, generate reports, and maintain procurement documentation with precision and efficiency.
- • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities, requiring strong organizational skills, time management, and adaptability.
- • Work both independently and as part of a high-performing team, demonstrating initiative, accountability, and a results-driven mindset.
- • Ensure all sourcing activities support Crusoe’s mission to mitigate environmental impact and accelerate the energy transition through efficient, responsible procurement practices.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred or equivalent experience
- • 5+ years of direct procurement experience in roles such as Buyer, Capital Project Procurement, or Category Manager
- • Proven experience purchasing equipment for large-scale capital projects in data centers or power generation (e.g., compressors, gas storage, mechanical/electrical equipment, construction)
- • Demonstrated hands-on experience redlining commercial contracts by independently drafting counter-language, not relying on pre-approved templates or matrices
- • Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
