📋 Description
- • Strategy & Operations (People) at Clipboard Health Inc. is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on solving complex organizational challenges by partnering with leaders across the company to improve how teams operate and support the mission of lifting professionals up the socioeconomic ladder through on-demand shift work.
- • The role centers on being a strategic problem-solver who identifies inefficiencies, designs solutions, and drives change — from hiring process improvements to offboarding redesigns — without being confined to traditional HR functions like policy writing or compliance.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include partnering with managers on personnel decisions such as designing hiring automations, conducting exit interviews, coaching managers on leave of absence cases, and supporting leadership through nuanced people challenges.
- • Conducting quarterly departmental audits to deeply assess team operations, uncover systemic issues, and collaborate with department heads to implement strategic improvements that enhance efficiency and alignment across the organization.
- • Owning and executing cross-functional initiatives with wide-reaching impact, such as leading the implementation of new HR systems or rebuilding core onboarding and offboarding processes to improve experience and scalability.
- • Proactively identifying broken workflows, connecting root causes across teams, and taking ownership of fixing problems — whether operational, cultural, or process-related — to increase organizational effectiveness.

- • Proven ability to partner with leaders and managers to solve complex people-related challenges, including designing process improvements, conducting exit conversations, and coaching on personnel decisions.
- • Experience conducting organizational assessments or departmental audits to identify inefficiencies and drive strategic change that improves team and company-wide operations.
- • Track record of owning and executing impactful initiatives such as system implementations, process redesigns (e.g., onboarding/offboarding), or cross-functional projects with measurable outcomes.
- • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments typical of high-growth startups, with the ability to adapt quickly and prioritize based on business impact.
- • Strong self-awareness and judgment — knowing personal limits and seeking help when decisions could have serious implications for the business or team.
