- • Strategy & Operations (People) at Clipboard Health Inc. is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on solving complex organizational challenges by partnering with leaders across the company to improve how teams operate and support the mission of lifting professionals up the socioeconomic ladder through on-demand shift work.
- • The role exists within a non-traditional People team that prioritizes problem-solving over policy enforcement, acting as strategic thinkers and go-to resources for tough people and operational issues, with the goal of enforcing high standards and enabling better decision-making throughout the organization.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include partnering with leaders and managers on key personnel decisions such as designing hiring automations, conducting exit conversations, coaching managers through leave of absence decisions, and addressing a wide range of people-related challenges as they arise.
- • Conducting quarterly departmental audits to deeply analyze team performance, identify improvement opportunities, and collaborate with department leaders to implement strategic changes that enhance team and company-wide operations.
- • Owning and executing high-impact initiatives with organizational scope, such as leading new system implementations or redesigning core processes like onboarding and offboarding to improve efficiency and employee experience.
- • Proactively identifying problems across the organization, connecting root causes, and taking ownership of solutions—whether process, communication, or structural—to continuously improve how work gets done.

- • Proven ability to partner with leaders and managers to solve complex people and operational challenges, including designing process improvements, supporting hiring initiatives, and guiding decisions around employee transitions.
- • Experience conducting organizational assessments or departmental audits and translating findings into actionable, strategic recommendations that improve team effectiveness.
- • Track record of owning and executing cross-functional initiatives such as system implementations, process redesigns (e.g., onboarding/offboarding), or org-wide projects with measurable impact.
- • Strong comfort with ambiguity and change in a high-growth startup environment, with the ability to adapt quickly, pivot priorities, and introduce structure only where it adds meaningful value.
