- • Own and execute core finance operations including payments, treasury activities, payroll coordination, reconciliations, and operational finance processes to ensure accuracy and timely execution.
- • Perform regular financial data checks, reconciliations, and reviews across systems and workflows to maintain operational integrity and identify inconsistencies.
- • Proactively investigate and resolve financial discrepancies, ensuring reliable and trustworthy financial data across all business units.
- • Use Excel and Power Query to structure, clean, analyze, and improve finance data sets, transforming raw inputs into actionable operational insights.
- • Identify manual, repetitive tasks in finance workflows and lead efforts to automate or streamline them using tools and technology to increase efficiency and scalability.
- • Collaborate closely with People Ops, external accountants, payroll providers, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and clear communication on finance operations.
- • Take full ownership of assigned finance processes, operating autonomously while maintaining alignment with team goals and company standards.
- • Challenge inefficient or outdated processes by proposing and implementing data-driven improvements that reduce friction and enhance reliability.
- • Contribute to building a scalable, globally capable finance function that supports Laminar’s rapid international growth without compromising control or accuracy.
- • Maintain strong operational discipline in financial controls, ensuring compliance, audit readiness, and consistent application of best practices.
- • Act as a key operational link between finance and other departments, translating financial requirements into clear, actionable steps for non-finance teams.
- • Continuously seek ways to improve system reliability, data quality, and process transparency across the finance function.
- • Work in a fast-moving, international environment with multiple entities and currencies, adapting processes to meet diverse regional requirements.
- • Leverage AI and digital tools to enhance productivity, reduce errors, and uncover insights that improve financial operations.
- • Support the development of a finance function that is proactive, operationally sharp, and focused on long-term scalability rather than just transactional upkeep.
- • Ensure payroll runs smoothly by coordinating with external providers and internal teams, verifying data accuracy and resolving issues before payout cycles.
- • Contribute to the design and documentation of standardized finance workflows that can be replicated across new markets and teams.
- • Maintain a high standard of attention to detail, noticing anomalies in numbers, timing, or process flow before they escalate into larger problems.
- • Communicate clearly and professionally in English with internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring alignment and transparency in all finance operations.
- • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing processes, soliciting feedback, and implementing changes that enhance reliability and reduce manual effort.
- • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to align finance operations with broader company goals around growth, compliance, and human flourishing.
