- • The Student Finance Specialist is a temporary, 30-hour-per-week role supporting Berklee College of Music’s Pre-College, Online, and Professional Programs (POPP) division in implementing Workday Student, serving as a primary point of contact for finance-related inquiries from students, families, prospects, and alumni.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include handling incoming phone and email communications, responding to inquiries within one business day, assisting with tuition statements, payments, balances, payment plans, financial holds, refunds, and tax forms, managing past-due accounts, processing payments and adjustments, and supporting financial aid and registration processes.
- • The role operates within Berklee’s POPP division, which serves over 3.5 million students globally through Berklee Online, Summer Programs, and Press, and is dedicated to advancing contemporary music education with a focus on accessibility, equity, and student success.
- • The specialist will develop expertise in student financial services within higher education, gain experience with Workday and related systems, strengthen communication and analytical skills, and contribute to process improvements that enhance the student experience across POPP programs.
🎯 Requirements
- • College degree required
- • Minimum two years of successful customer service experience in higher education, banking, retail sales, or equivalent
- • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational abilities
- • Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, Gmail, Workday, Colleague, or Salesforce is a plus
- • Previous experience in college business, student accounts, or financial aid office is a plus
