  • • Lead the subcontracts department at Iron Mountain Solutions, a critical role focused on ensuring unwavering compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and all other relevant regulatory requirements governing government and commercial contracts.
  • • Oversee and meticulously administer a diverse portfolio of complex government and commercial contracts, encompassing various types such as Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF), Time and Materials (T&M), and Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) agreements, from their inception through to their successful completion.
  • • Spearhead high-level negotiations for intricate subcontracts, with the primary objective of securing highly favorable terms and ensuring strict adherence to FAR, DFARS, and other applicable regulatory mandates. This involves adeptly navigating challenging contractual issues that may arise with subcontractors and effectively managing expectations and resolutions with internal stakeholders.
  • • Develop, author, and maintain robust company standard terms and conditions for subcontracts, ensuring they are current, comprehensive, and protective of the company's interests while remaining compliant with legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • • Proactively identify and rigorously assess potential risks associated with subcontractor performance and compliance. This includes developing and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies designed to ensure consistent adherence to all contractual obligations and regulatory standards, thereby safeguarding project timelines and budgets.
  • • Foster seamless communication and proactive collaboration among all project teams, subcontractors, and internal departments to guarantee the successful execution and delivery of projects.
  • • Drive the development and implementation of forward-thinking subcontracting policies and procedures. The aim is to continuously enhance operational efficiency, strengthen compliance measures, and embed best practices throughout the organization's subcontracting functions.
  • • Diligently oversee the monitoring of subcontractor performance against defined contractual requirements and key performance metrics. This involves preparing and presenting comprehensive, data-driven reports on subcontract performance and compliance status to senior management and key stakeholders, providing critical insights for decision-making.
  • • Lead and coordinate internal and external audits pertaining to subcontract administration. This includes addressing any audit findings promptly and implementing necessary corrective actions to ensure ongoing compliance and drive continuous process improvement.
  • • Manage the entire lifecycle of subcontract closeout processes, ensuring that all contractual requirements have been met, all deliverables have been received and accepted, and final payments are processed accurately and in strict accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support on FAR, DFARS, and government procurement regulations, ensuring the team possesses a comprehensive understanding and the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes effectively.
  • • Mentor and develop the subcontracting team, fostering a culture of expertise, compliance, and continuous learning. This includes developing and delivering targeted training programs for the subcontract group to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • • Collaborate closely with program management, legal, finance, and other relevant departments to ensure integrated and effective subcontract management throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • • Contribute to the strategic planning and development of subcontracting strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives and growth initiatives.
  • • The role requires occasional standing, walking, and sitting, with the ability to use tools or controls. Employees will engage in normal physical activity, including reaching with hands and arms, and climbing stairs. Effective communication with all levels of employees and leadership is essential. The role may occasionally require lifting or moving office products and supplies up to 25 pounds.
  • • This position is contingent upon contract award, signifying an exciting opportunity to shape and lead a vital function within a growing organization.
