Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Embark on a transformative 10-week journey with Aledade's 2026 Summer Internship program, designed to immerse you in the critical functions of our contracting operations within the dynamic healthcare landscape.
- • This internship, running from June 1st, 2026, to August 7th, 2026, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to mission-critical projects under the guidance of seasoned senior leaders, fostering a deep understanding of Aledade's operational intricacies and the broader healthcare ecosystem.
- • As a Contracting Operations Intern, you will be instrumental in the success of the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) application process, a cornerstone of our value-based care initiatives.
- • Your primary responsibility will involve rigorous Quality Assurance (QA) of practice submissions to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This entails meticulously verifying that all submitted paperwork accurately reflects the details outlined in the corresponding applications.
- • You will ensure that each submission is directed to the correct Accountable Care Organization (ACO), preventing misrouting and ensuring efficient processing.
- • A key aspect of your role will be confirming that every practice that has executed a Participation Agreement (PA) has a corresponding, successfully processed CMS submission, a vital step in their journey with Aledade.
- • This attention to detail is not merely a requirement but the bedrock of this role; errors in QA can have significant repercussions, potentially denying a practice the opportunity to join the MSSP with Aledade for an entire year, underscoring the mission-critical nature of your work.
- • Beyond QA, you will actively support the high-volume, time-sensitive task of distributing reshuffle Participation Agreements (PAs) to our existing network of practices.
- • This requires a proactive and agile approach, stepping in to provide essential support during peak periods and ensuring timely execution of these crucial documents.
- • Your contributions will directly impact our ability to onboard practices efficiently and effectively into value-based care models, driving better health outcomes for patients and financial sustainability for providers.
- • You will gain hands-on experience with the complexities of healthcare contracting, regulatory compliance, and the operational workflows that underpin Aledade's success.
- • This internship provides a practical, real-world application of analytical and organizational skills within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- • You will learn to navigate intricate documentation, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions, developing a keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to problem-solving.
- • The role demands a high degree of accuracy, reliability, and a commitment to upholding the integrity of our operational processes.
- • By participating in this internship, you will not only contribute to Aledade's ongoing success but also develop invaluable professional skills and insights into the healthcare industry's operational backbone.
- • This is an exceptional chance to make a tangible impact, learn from industry experts, and explore a potential career path within a leading healthcare organization.
- • You will be part of a supportive team environment that values collaboration, precision, and a shared commitment to improving healthcare delivery.
- • The projects you undertake will be substantive, offering genuine challenges and opportunities for growth, moving beyond theoretical exercises to real-world problem-solving.
- • You will develop a nuanced understanding of how operational efficiency translates into improved patient care and provider success.
- • This internship is designed to be a comprehensive learning experience, equipping you with practical knowledge and a professional network.
- • Your work will be directly linked to Aledade's mission of empowering physicians to succeed in value-based care, making a difference in the lives of millions of patients.
- • You will be exposed to the strategic importance of accurate contracting and submission processes in the competitive healthcare market.
- • This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and are eager to contribute to a meaningful cause within the healthcare sector.
- • You will have the opportunity to refine your communication skills as you interact with internal teams and potentially external stakeholders.
- • The experience gained will be highly relevant for future roles in operations, project management, healthcare administration, and compliance.
- • Aledade is committed to providing interns with a challenging yet rewarding experience, fostering professional development and offering insights into the operational excellence required in the healthcare industry.
- • This internship is more than just a summer job; it's a stepping stone to understanding the complexities and opportunities within value-based healthcare operations.
