- • As a Supervisor for Business Transactions and Services at The Ohio State University's Procurement Shared Service Center, you will play a pivotal role in leading a dedicated team responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of procurement and expense transactions. - • You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement within the department. This includes identifying opportunities to enhance internal procedures, streamline workflows, and implement best practices to boost efficiency, accuracy, and overall customer satisfaction.
- • A key aspect of your role will be to oversee the workflow of your team, ensuring that all transactions are processed promptly and accurately. This requires a keen understanding of procurement and expense policies and procedures, as well as the ability to anticipate and address potential bottlenecks.
- • You will serve as the primary point of contact for ensuring compliance with all university-established policies and procedures related to procurement and expense management. This involves staying abreast of any changes and effectively communicating them to your team and relevant stakeholders.
- • Performing regular compliance reviews of transactions will be a critical duty. You will be responsible for identifying any discrepancies or non-compliance issues and implementing corrective actions to maintain the integrity of financial processes.
- • As the system approver for appropriate transactions, you will ensure that all supporting documentation meets university and office guidelines and policies before final approval. This requires meticulous attention to detail and a thorough understanding of financial controls.
- • You will collaborate closely with department Finance Officers and Managers to research and resolve complex and non-routine issues that may arise during the transaction processing or compliance review stages. This necessitates strong problem-solving skills and effective communication.
- • This role demands a proactive approach to customer service, ensuring that faculty and staff receive timely, accurate, and helpful support for their procurement and expense-related inquiries and needs.
- • You will contribute to the strategic objectives of the Procurement Shared Service Center by implementing process improvements that align with the university's financial goals and operational excellence.
