📋 Description

• As the Supplier Capacity Leader for Forgings, Airfoils, and Structures, you will be instrumental in driving the technical development of critical manufacturing commodities to meet an aggressive capacity ramp-up schedule, directly supporting Gevo Inc.'s growing customer demand.
• This pivotal role requires a deep engagement with Gevo's Global Commodity Leaders (GCLs), quality assurance functions, and engineering teams, fostering collaborative relationships with a global network of suppliers.
• You will lead the execution of key development milestones, strategically expediting global sourcing initiatives to secure the necessary capacity for these vital components.
• A core responsibility involves meticulously reviewing technical documentation, working hand-in-hand with Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) to analyze deviations and qualification data.
• Your expertise will be crucial in expediting the technical approval process, ensuring that all products delivered meet Gevo's stringent quality standards.
• You will collaborate closely with suppliers to gain a comprehensive understanding of their capacity, potential constraints, and the intricacies of their full value stream.
• Based on this understanding, you will identify and implement projects designed to eliminate bottlenecks and enhance overall production efficiency.
• A significant aspect of the role involves driving the review and analysis of GE specifications across various functional teams.
• Your insights will be vital in identifying areas for improvement, specifically focusing on enhancing the producibility of complex forged and structural components.
• You will be responsible for managing detailed capacity ramp-up action plans, diligently monitoring progress, and providing weekly status reports to key stakeholders.
• This role demands proactive support for critical and top fulfillment demands, ensuring that Gevo's most important customer orders are met without compromise.
• You will act as an active partner to both the supply chain and engineering teams, skillfully balancing supplier change requests against potential risks and demonstrable value.
• Your ability to identify and remove internal and external obstacles will be critical to facilitating the rapid implementation of growth strategies and capacity expansion projects.

• The success in this role will be measured by the timely and effective ramp-up of supplier capacity, the successful qualification of new suppliers and processes, and the consistent delivery of high-quality forgings, airfoils, and structural components.
• You will play a critical role in mitigating supply chain risks associated with capacity limitations and technical challenges.
• This position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and supply chain dynamics within the aerospace or advanced manufacturing sectors.
• You will be expected to foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration with our supplier partners.
• The ability to navigate complex technical discussions and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders is paramount.
• Ultimately, you will be a driving force in ensuring Gevo's supply chain can support its ambitious growth objectives.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Engineering, Supplier Quality, or Supply Chain Development.
• Willingness and ability to travel at least 60% of the time.
• Large Forging Machining and Processing technical expertise.
