📋 Description

• Advise sustainability teams at leading global companies on measuring actionable carbon and non-carbon footprints to achieve their sustainability goals, from scoping new measurements to conducting in-depth methodology comparisons.
• Deliver advisory services that accelerate customer success by helping clients set up emissions measurement systems aligned with their sustainability targets and regulatory requirements, including CSRD.
• Serve as a trusted partner during emissions verification processes, ensuring customers leverage Watershed’s platform to generate audit-ready metrics for voluntary and mandatory reporting.
• Provide specialized guidance to optimize customer data quality, methodology selection, and reporting workflows, enabling faster and more effective use of Watershed’s sustainability intelligence layer.
• Collaborate directly with science, engineering, and product teams to inform the development of innovative measurement solutions and expand the platform’s analytical capabilities based on real-world customer needs.
• Work directly with enterprise clients such as Airbnb, Carlyle Group, FedEx, Visa, and Dr. Martens to support their climate and ESG data management initiatives.
• Conduct measurement sessions with customers to translate complex sustainability frameworks into actionable, data-driven insights tailored to their operational context.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail in data interpretation, methodology documentation, and client communications to ensure accuracy and compliance with evolving global standards.
• Operate in a high-volume, fast-paced startup environment with ambiguity, requiring strong organizational skills, systematic thinking, and efficiency in managing multiple client engagements simultaneously.
• Communicate complex sustainability concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through verbal and written interactions.
• Work from the Mexico City office four days per week, as this role is not designated as remote despite Watershed’s broader remote options.
• Contribute to shaping the culture of a growing team by embodying Watershed’s mission-oriented, collaborative, and high-performance values.

🎯 Requirements

• 5-6 years of experience in a consulting, solutions-engineering, or other customer-facing role
• Experience in sustainability-related fields, greenhouse gas accounting, and/or ESG reporting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to learn quickly and operate effectively in ambiguous, high-volume environments
• Strong analytical skills with comfort using and speaking to data; meticulous and detail-obsessed
• Passion for solving climate change and enthusiasm for contributing at a fast-paced startup
