• • AnaVation LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior-Level Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chantilly, VA. This is a critical role focused on enhancing and maintaining a mission-critical forensic and investigative ecosystem. You will be instrumental in planning, designing, and implementing robust solutions for network hardware, server infrastructure, and operating systems, ensuring the highest levels of security, resilience, and reliability across complex multi-enclave environments.
• • As a key member of our technical operations, you will provide direct, hands-on support for the day-to-day operations of our network hardware and operating systems. This involves a deep understanding of system interdependencies and the ability to troubleshoot issues at both the physical and logical network levels, ensuring seamless functionality.
• • Your responsibilities will extend to participating actively in the planning, design, and technical review phases for all new network infrastructure initiatives. This includes contributing to the strategic vision and technical architecture that will support future growth and operational demands.
• • A significant aspect of this role involves performing comprehensive systems management and integration functions. You will be adept at managing and unifying systems across diverse and often segmented multi-enclave environments, ensuring consistent performance and security.
• • You will be responsible for maintaining stringent network infrastructure standards, with a particular focus on communication protocols such as TCP/IP. This ensures that all network communications are efficient, secure, and compliant with industry best practices.
• • The role demands a proactive approach to diagnosing and resolving complex communication problems. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to maintain optimal system performance.
• • Ensuring that all systems are up-to-date with the latest approved patches is a core duty. You will also play a vital role in assisting with certification and accreditation (C&A) tasks, ensuring our infrastructure meets all necessary security and compliance requirements.
• • You will be tasked with developing and articulating a clear strategy for client/server systems and designing the underlying infrastructure to robustly support this strategy. This requires foresight and a deep understanding of system architecture.
• • Furthermore, you will provide expert advice on the selection of technological purchases, covering areas such as processing power, data storage solutions, data access mechanisms, and application development tools. Your recommendations will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our technological investments.
• • This position is deeply embedded within an Agile framework. You will actively participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver value iteratively and efficiently.
• • The ideal candidate will possess expert-level Linux skills, coupled with extensive experience in engineering, deploying, and sustaining both cloud-based and on-premises environments. This dual expertise is essential for managing our hybrid infrastructure.
• • Hands-on experience supporting Kubernetes and Docker containerized deployments is a must. You will leverage containerization technologies to enhance scalability, portability, and efficiency of our applications and services.
• • A strong working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and automation technologies, such as Terraform and Ansible, is required. You will use these tools to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes, driving efficiency and consistency.
• • Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and system administration tasks is also a key requirement, enabling you to develop custom solutions and streamline operations.
• • Experience with virtualization platforms and environments is essential for managing our virtualized infrastructure, ensuring optimal resource utilization and flexibility.
• • This role is 100% on-site in Chantilly, VA, requiring a dedicated presence to support our critical mission.
• • The position mandates an active Top Secret (TS) clearance and the ability to obtain SCI access with a CI polygraph, reflecting the sensitive nature of the work performed.
