- • We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Digital Marketing and Website Management Specialist to join our team as an independent contractor. This is a remote, senior-level Technical VA position, ideal for an executor who thrives on managing and optimizing existing digital marketing strategies and website operations. You will be instrumental in assisting clients, primarily in developed markets like the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, to enhance their business efficiency, service delivery, and overall operational functions through expert task-specific services.
- • Your core responsibilities will revolve around comprehensive website management, ensuring our clients' online presence is always up-to-date, engaging, and performing optimally. This includes regularly updating website content using WordPress, specifically with the Divi theme, ensuring all information is accurate, compelling, and visually appealing. You will be provided with detailed process documentation to guide these updates and related tasks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- • A significant aspect of the role involves SEO optimization. You will implement essential on-page SEO best practices, focusing on keyword research, crafting effective meta tags, and optimizing content structure to improve search engine rankings. This includes managing blog posts by uploading new content, ensuring proper formatting, adherence to SEO strategies, and the inclusion of relevant images and tags. You will also be responsible for updating the website with current specials and promotions, making sure they are clearly presented and aligned with ongoing marketing campaigns.
- • Email marketing is another key area where your expertise will be vital. You will manage Mailchimp databases, ensuring accurate segmentation based on audience behavior, interests, and other relevant criteria. This involves planning, segmenting, and executing email marketing campaigns, including newsletters and promotional offers, to effectively promote products, services, and content. A crucial part of this is analyzing email marketing metrics such as open rates and click-through rates to assess campaign performance and provide actionable insights for future improvements.
- • Social media management will also be part of your remit. You will be responsible for creating and uploading posts for social media competitions across various platforms, ensuring they are visually appealing and adhere to branding standards. A key task is managing the selection of competition winners, ensuring this process is completed by Friday each week, with announcements made over the weekend or early Monday. You will also oversee responses and engagements on social media platforms, maintaining a positive brand image and promptly addressing inquiries. For specific clients, this may involve managing recurring tipping competitions 2-3 times per week, which includes reviewing comments on Facebook and Instagram posts, identifying correct tippers using a provided process, randomly selecting a winner, and responding with a pre-approved template to gather their details. You will then monitor direct messages, capture winner information, and update a shared Google Sheet to maintain accurate records.
- • Performance reporting and testing are critical to driving continuous improvement. You will provide regular reports on website analytics, email campaign performance, social media engagement, and competition outcomes. Furthermore, you will conduct A/B testing for email campaigns and website content, analyzing the results to refine strategies and enhance overall performance. This role requires a strong executor who can confidently manage existing strategies and processes, with the experience to suggest minor improvements rather than leading full-scale SEO or marketing strategy development.
- • Specifically, you will manage WordPress using the Divi theme for content uploading, formatting pages and posts, and performing basic on-page SEO tasks such as optimizing titles, meta descriptions, image alt text, internal links, and slugs, utilizing plugins like Yoast or Rank Math. Familiarity with Google Analytics and Search Console to pull simple performance data is essential. While basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript knowledge is beneficial for minor troubleshooting, extensive development work is not expected.
- • In Mailchimp, your focus will be on execution: building and scheduling campaigns from provided copy, images, and briefs. You will apply segments and tags as defined, perform link, formatting, and mobile checks before sending, and set up simple automations based on clear instructions. You will also export and summarize key metrics (opens, clicks, top links, unsubscribes) into a shared report or sheet. Reporting should be kept simple and action-based, providing a straightforward weekly summary covering website blog updates, email campaigns sent with key stats, social posts and competition rounds completed, and winners added to the spreadsheet.
