Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Shape the future of renewable energy talent at SOLV Energy. As our Talent Development Specialist, you will own the end-to-end design, development and deployment of learning experiences that power the people who build and maintain 8+ GW of North American solar, substation and storage projects. Every course, simulation and job aid you create directly enables safer, faster and more sustainable construction, commissioning and O&M work across the continent.
  • • Own the learning strategy. Conduct rigorous needs assessments—interviews, surveys, field observations and data analytics—to pinpoint skill gaps across engineering, procurement, construction, safety, project controls and executive leadership. Translate findings into prioritized learning roadmaps that align with SOLV’s aggressive growth targets and zero-incident safety culture.
  • • Architect blended learning journeys. Design asynchronous eLearning modules, synchronous virtual instructor-led training (VILT), immersive simulations, instructor-led workshops, on-the-job checklists and micro-learning bursts. Ensure every asset is mobile-friendly and accessible to crews on remote job sites as well as to hybrid office teams.
  • • Build with cutting-edge tools. Storyboard, script and develop in Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia and emerging AI-enhanced authoring platforms. Integrate motion graphics, 3-D animations and scenario-based branching to drive engagement and knowledge retention. Publish SCORM/xAPI packages to our LMS and track completion, satisfaction and performance improvement.
  • • Champion user-centric design. Apply UI/UX best practices so that every interaction is intuitive for hard-hat users on tablets and for executives on laptops. Run rapid prototyping sprints, A/B tests and usability studies to refine content iteratively. Embed learning transfer mechanisms—job aids, coaching guides, reflection prompts and KPI dashboards—so training sticks beyond the classroom.
  • • Collaborate across the ecosystem. Partner daily with construction superintendents, substation engineers, HSE managers, supply-chain leaders and HR business partners. Translate technical jargon into clear, actionable learning objectives. Facilitate SME workshops to crowd-source tribal knowledge and convert it into scalable digital assets.
  • • Drive change management. Embed adoption strategies into every project—communication plans, manager toolkits, pilot programs and success metrics. Use design-thinking and disruptive-innovation methods to overcome resistance and accelerate cultural shifts toward continuous learning.
  • • Curate and govern content. Establish style guides, templates and quality standards that ensure brand consistency and instructional integrity. Maintain a living content library; retire outdated material, localize for regional regulations and continuously optimize based on learner feedback and business outcomes.
  • • Measure impact. Configure LMS dashboards, Power BI reports and KPI scorecards that correlate training participation with safety incidents, rework rates, schedule adherence and employee engagement. Present quarterly business reviews to senior leadership, demonstrating ROI and influencing future L&D investment.
  • • Evangelize AI and emerging tech. Pilot AI-generated voice-overs, adaptive learning paths and VR site-walkthroughs. Host lunch-and-learns to upskill peers and stakeholders on new capabilities, positioning SOLV as an industry innovator in renewable energy learning.
  • • Model inclusion. Ensure every learning experience reflects the diversity of our field and office teams. Apply UDL (Universal Design for Learning) principles so content is accessible to all abilities, languages and learning preferences.
  • • Remote-first flexibility. Work from anywhere in the U.S. while maintaining strong virtual presence and, when needed, travel to San Diego HQ or active job sites for filming, SME sessions and pilot rollouts. Balance autonomy with accountability through agile ceremonies and transparent project tracking in Asana or similar tools.
