📋 Description

• As a Tax Specialist at LemFi, you will play a central role in ensuring global tax compliance and supporting the business as it expands across continents, managing corporate tax processes, monitoring international tax risks, and supporting both direct and indirect tax activities.
• You will lead end-to-end global corporation tax compliance, act as the main liaison for external advisers across all tax jurisdictions, monitor permanent establishment risk, assist with VAT compliance and filings in multiple countries, support tax data and workflow improvements, conduct tax research on VAT implications and employment tax considerations, and partner with Finance, Legal, and People teams to integrate tax considerations into decision-making.
• LemFi (Series B) is building the go-to financial app for the Global South, with a team of 400+ spanning 20+ countries, processing over $1B in monthly transactions to 30+ countries, and evolving from fast, affordable remittances into a complete platform for multi-currency accounts, payments, credit, and long-term financial growth.
• You will gain broad exposure across corporation tax, VAT, and employment taxes while playing a key role in building a world-class tax function to support LemFi’s global growth, working in a small, high-performing team where you can develop your experience in-house and take ownership of key deliverables in a fast-paced, scaling environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in a corporate tax environment
• ACA and/or CTA qualified (or equivalent) with strong technical foundations in corporate tax
• Solid understanding of UK corporate tax, with knowledge of IFRS and international subsidiary structures
• Experience coordinating with external tax advisers and managing responses
• Strong proficiency in Excel and financial software for analysis and reporting
