- • Prepare U.S. federal and state individual and business tax returns, including Form 1040, Form 1120, Form 1120S, and Form 1065.
- • Review and organize client source documents to ensure accurate and complete tax filings.
- • Identify missing or inconsistent information in client submissions and communicate with team members to resolve gaps.
- • Support tax planning and tax projection engagements by analyzing client financial data and identifying potential savings or risks.
- • Collaborate with tax managers and partners to meet strict filing deadlines during peak tax season.
- • Maintain detailed, accurate, and organized workpapers and supporting documentation for all tax engagements.
- • Manage multiple tax clients simultaneously, prioritizing workload effectively during busy season.
- • Assist with responding to tax notices, IRS correspondence, and other tax-related client inquiries.
- • Stay current with evolving U.S. federal tax laws, regulations, and IRS guidance to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- • Utilize and adapt to technology-enabled accounting tools including ProSeries, Liscio, Gruntworx, Claude, Karbon, and AccountGroove.
- • Embrace continuous learning and adopt new AI-driven workflows to enhance efficiency and client service quality.
- • Work within Central Time Zone hours to align with U.S.-based team members and client needs.
- • Demonstrate strong ownership mentality by taking responsibility for the accuracy and timeliness of assigned tax returns.
- • Maintain professional communication with internal teams and, where applicable, direct U.S. clients.
- • Apply problem-solving skills to resolve complex tax scenarios and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- • Exhibit adaptability in a fast-paced, technology-forward accounting environment with evolving tools and processes.
- • Commit to precision and quality in all aspects of tax preparation, documentation, and client support.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 3+ years of experience preparing U.S. tax returns
- • Strong experience with Form 1040, Form 1120, Form 1120S, and Form 1065
- • Experience working with a U.S.-based CPA or accounting firm
- • Strong understanding of U.S. federal tax concepts
- • Fluent English communication skills
- • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
