📋 Description

• The Tax Staff Accountant role at Agent Inc. is critical to delivering accurate and timely U.S. tax preparation services for over 3,000 clients annually, supporting the firm’s mission to combine traditional accounting excellence with modern technology and AI-driven workflows.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing U.S. federal and state tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065), organizing client documentation, identifying missing information, supporting tax planning efforts, managing multiple engagements during peak seasons, and maintaining accurate workpapers while collaborating with tax managers and partners.
• Agent Inc. is a growing Texas-based CPA firm that emphasizes a collaborative, supportive culture and is investing in automation, AI, and modern tools like ProSeries, Liscio, Gruntworx, Karbon, and Claude to enhance efficiency and client service.
• In this role, the candidate will deepen expertise in U.S. tax compliance, gain hands-on experience with advanced accounting technologies, develop advisory skills through tax planning engagements, and grow professionally in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment that values continuous learning and ownership.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience preparing U.S. tax returns
• Strong experience with Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065 tax returns
• Experience working with a U.S.-based CPA or accounting firm
• Fluent English communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
