• • The Team Lead role at Capital on Tap is a pivotal opportunity for a skilled .NET engineer ready to step into formal engineering leadership while remaining hands-on in code. This role bridges technical excellence and people development, enabling the candidate to grow into a leadership position by mentoring junior engineers, fostering team accountability, and contributing to product outcomes — all while supporting the company’s mission to empower 1 million small businesses by 2030 through its all-in-one business credit card and spend management platform.
• • Day to day, the Team Lead will take ownership of a small engineering team by setting standards for quality, collaboration, and accountability; provide mentorship and constructive feedback to help engineers grow; establish team rituals like standups, retrospectives, and 1-to-1s; remain actively involved in software development by writing and reviewing code; uphold coding standards and best practices; collaborate with Tech Leads and the Engineering Manager on technical direction and architecture; partner with Product, QA, and Design to translate ideas into delivered outcomes; contribute to product decisions; and proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks.
