- • Serve as team lead for the Neurology Patient Access team, supporting daily operational efficiency in collaboration with the team supervisor.
- • Assist staff with operational challenges, including resolving backlogs and addressing escalated patient or insurance-related calls.
- • Conduct monthly quality assurance reviews by evaluating recorded phone calls to ensure compliance and service standards.
- • Cover for staff members during absences, maintaining uninterrupted patient access services.
- • Participate in training and onboarding new team members, ensuring consistent understanding of protocols and procedures.
- • Lead monthly one-on-one meetings with team members to provide feedback, support development, and align with department goals.
- • Identify and resolve department-specific billing and collection trends related to payor policies and procedures.
- • Resolve complex invoices requiring special attention within the team’s scope of responsibility.
- • Collaborate with management on special projects aimed at improving operational workflows or payor performance.
- • Motivate team members and foster a collaborative environment focused on achieving departmental and organizational objectives.
- • Utilize ICD-9 and CPT coding knowledge to support accurate billing and claims resolution.
- • Work remotely in a home office environment with standard office equipment and telecommunications software.
- • Maintain awareness of third-party payer systems and billing platforms to support accurate and timely collections.
- • Ensure all activities align with institutional mission, guiding principles, and compliance standards.
🎯 Requirements
- • High school diploma or equivalent
- • Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance or collections
- • Proficiency in ICD-9 and CPT coding
