Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Serve as the primary technical liaison between Metriport’s production customers and internal product/engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration and continuous value delivery from the platform.
- • Own and monitor the north star metric for customer health across all production accounts, proactively identifying signs of underutilization, risk, or growth potential.
- • Drive value-led growth by uncovering untapped product features and usage patterns that align with customer business goals, translating technical capabilities into measurable ROI.
- • Conduct regular technical check-ins with customer teams (engineering, clinical, operations) to understand evolving needs, troubleshoot integration issues, and recommend optimal configurations.
- • Build and implement standardized, scalable customer success processes including automated monitoring systems, usage alerts, and cadenced engagement touchpoints tailored to customer segments.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, sales, and leadership to communicate customer feedback, prioritize product enhancements, and align on solution roadmaps.
- • Translate complex API documentation and technical workflows (e.g., FHIR, HL7) into clear guidance for non-technical stakeholders while also articulating customer requirements to engineers.
- • Identify and facilitate expansion opportunities by demonstrating how additional Metriport capabilities can solve emerging customer challenges, without relying on sales-driven upsells.
- • Maintain deep familiarity with Metriport’s platform architecture, data flows, and integration methods to provide authoritative, real-time support during critical customer interactions.
- • Proactively monitor customer usage data to anticipate scaling needs and recommend preemptive adjustments to infrastructure or configuration to prevent disruptions.
- • Champion a culture of ownership and urgency—solve problems with minimal bureaucracy, operate with high autonomy, and deliver outcomes in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- • Work from Metriport’s San Francisco office six days a week, with flexibility to craft personal schedules based on output and accountability rather than hours logged.
- • Contribute to the evolution of Metriport’s customer success function by designing new workflows, documentation, and operational systems in close partnership with the Chief of Staff and Founding Engineer.
- • Deliver structured, data-informed written narratives to justify technical recommendations, risk assessments, and expansion strategies to both internal teams and external customers.
- • Ensure all customer interactions reflect Metriport’s ethos: low ego, high ownership, and relentless focus on solving problems efficiently, often asking “Why can’t this be done in 3 days?” instead of settling for longer timelines.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer) with exposure to Technical Sales
- • Technical fluency in reading API documentation and translating technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
- • Proven ability as an expert relationship manager who drives customer success through technical expertise and product knowledge
- • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex constraints, assess risks, and present data-informed arguments in writing
- • Experience collaborating constructively with engineering, design, sales, and leadership teams
- • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with no playbook, driving projects to completion independently
- • Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive equity + compensation package
- • Full family Platinum health, dental, and vision insurance
- • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching
- • Flexible work from home or in-office options
- • Complimentary healthy lunches when in-office, plus breakfast and dinners as needed
- • Quarterly company off-sites with the team
