📋 Description

• As a Technical BDR at Firecrawl Inc., you will serve as the technical tip of the spear in the company’s outbound motion, identifying and engaging engineering leaders, data scientists, and AI/ML teams who need to transform unstructured web data into LLM-ready structured output. This role is critical to accelerating Firecrawl’s growth by bridging deep technical understanding with strategic outbound execution, ensuring that outreach resonates with highly technical buyers who value precision over generic pitches.
• You will own the full outbound pipeline by researching and targeting high-intent technical organizations, building highly relevant, personalized sequences that reference specific tech stacks, scraping challenges, and AI use cases. Your day-to-day includes conducting discovery calls that go beyond BANT to uncover technical decision-making processes, running live product demos when appropriate to showcase how Firecrawl’s API converts URLs into clean, structured data, and feeding actionable field intelligence back to Product and Engineering teams about adoption barriers, competitor activity, and emerging use cases.
• You will operate with a bias for action, rapidly testing messaging, channels, and personas, treating outbound as a product to be measured, iterated, and improved. You’ll collaborate closely with AEs to hand off qualified opportunities with rich technical context that accelerates deal velocity, and you’ll continuously refine your approach based on real-time feedback and results from paid work trials and live campaigns.
• Firecrawl is a small, fast-moving, deeply technical team that has achieved 8-figure ARR and over 90k GitHub stars in just one year by building the fastest, most reliable way for developers to extract and structure web data for LLMs. The company is backed by a mission to become the foundational data layer for super-intelligence systems navigating the web, and you’ll be embedded in a culture that values urgency, ownership, and technical authenticity over process or perfection.
• In this role, you will develop rare hybrid expertise: combining outbound sales execution with deep technical fluency in web scraping, APIs, LLMs, and developer tooling. You’ll learn how to speak credibly to engineers and AI teams, translate technical pain into business value, and shape go-to-market strategy based on real-world feedback — positioning yourself at the intersection of infrastructure, AI, and enterprise sales in one of the most dynamic sectors of tech.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience or equivalent shipped systems (e.g., code, side projects, open source contributions, or CS/engineering background)
• Demonstrated technical fluency: ability to read code, use APIs, discuss web scraping challenges, and explain what LLM-ready data means in practical terms
• Bias for action and urgency: preference for sending 10 imperfect outbounds to learn over spending a week crafting the perfect message; thrives in ambiguity and moves quickly without waiting for permission

• Competitive OTE salary range of $120,000–$220,000/year (U.S.-based), adjusted fairly for non-U.S. locations based on cost of living
