- • As a Technical Business Analyst at the National University System, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between business objectives and technological solutions. This pivotal role involves partnering closely with business leaders and technical teams to meticulously design, analyze, and continuously refine processes that are crucial for advancing the organization's overarching goals. You will be the architect of understanding, translating complex and often nuanced business needs into crystal-clear functional requirements and precise technical specifications. Your deep knowledge of enterprise systems will be leveraged to champion solution design, validate its effectiveness, and ensure its successful delivery throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including rigorous User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will be dynamic and impactful. You will lead and expertly facilitate requirement gathering sessions, engaging workshops, and critical stakeholder meetings, ensuring that business needs are not only elicited but also thoroughly clarified and meticulously documented. A significant part of your role will involve translating these business requirements into comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), detailed Functional Specifications (FSDs), clear process documentation, and other essential supporting artifacts that guide technical teams. You will be tasked with developing detailed current- and future-state process maps, which will include defining business rules, decision points, and intricate cross-functional workflows. This analysis will be key to identifying critical gaps, potential risks, and significant improvement opportunities. You will actively partner with both business and technical teams to collaboratively design, evaluate, and validate solutions that are perfectly aligned with operational objectives and the existing system capabilities. Serving as the primary liaison between all stakeholders and the IT department throughout the entire SDLC is a core function, ensuring consistent shared understanding and unwavering alignment. You will take ownership of assigned initiatives and deliverables, guiding them through every phase: analysis, design, build, testing, implementation, and crucial post-implementation support. A key responsibility will be to develop the UAT strategy, prepare detailed test scenarios and cases, coordinate their execution with business stakeholders, and meticulously ensure traceability back to the original requirements. You will proactively identify, assess, and communicate potential risks, impacts, and dependencies, applying sound independent judgment to support organizational priorities. Furthermore, you will act as a subject matter expert for the systems and processes you support, providing invaluable guidance and mentorship to junior analysts as needed, fostering a culture of growth and shared expertise. You will also maintain reliable attendance and perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of projects and initiatives.

You will hone your skills in requirements elicitation, process mapping, and stakeholder management, becoming a more adept facilitator and communicator. This position offers the chance to contribute directly to the strategic improvement of educational processes and systems, driving tangible value for the organization and its students.
