- • Qodeworld is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role is designed for an individual with a proven track record in data platform modernization, specifically with hands-on experience in Snowflake migration projects. As a Technical BSA, you will serve as the crucial conduit between our diverse business stakeholders and our expert technical teams, ensuring that business objectives are accurately translated into robust technical solutions. Your primary focus will be on driving the gathering and analysis of requirements, performing in-depth data analysis, and overseeing the end-to-end delivery of our data platform modernization initiatives, with a significant emphasis on migrating to Snowflake.
- • In this capacity, you will be instrumental in collaborating closely with a wide array of business stakeholders, including but not limited to product managers, business unit leaders, and operational teams. Your responsibilities will encompass the meticulous gathering, thorough analysis, and precise documentation of both functional and technical requirements. This involves facilitating and leading requirement workshops, where you will expertly translate complex business needs and strategic objectives into detailed data specifications, migration strategies, and functional designs that are clear, actionable, and aligned with our technical capabilities.
- • A core component of this role involves providing direct support for the end-to-end data warehouse migration to Snowflake. This includes, but is not limited to, developing comprehensive source-to-target mappings, defining data transformation rules, and establishing rigorous data validation protocols to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data throughout the migration process. You will work hand-in-hand with our talented data engineers, solution architects, and quality assurance (QA) teams, acting as a key point of contact to ensure that the implemented solutions accurately reflect the documented requirements and meet the highest standards of quality.
- • Your analytical prowess will be heavily utilized as you perform detailed data analysis and data profiling on existing and target systems. This will involve understanding complex data structures, identifying potential data quality issues, and conducting thorough impact analyses on legacy systems to anticipate and mitigate risks associated with the migration. The insights gained from this analysis will be critical in shaping the migration strategy and ensuring a smooth transition.
- • To facilitate clear communication and project tracking, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a suite of essential project documentation. This includes Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), detailed user stories with acceptance criteria, comprehensive process flows illustrating current and future states, and precise data mapping documents. This documentation will serve as the single source of truth for the project team and stakeholders.
- • Furthermore, you will play a vital role in defining and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and critical data reconciliation activities. This involves developing test plans, coordinating testing efforts, analyzing test results, and working with the relevant teams to resolve any defects or discrepancies identified during the testing phases. Your efforts will ensure that the migrated data and systems function as intended and meet business expectations.
- • A strong emphasis will be placed on ensuring data quality, upholding data governance principles, and embedding best practices throughout the entire migration lifecycle. You will champion data integrity and accuracy, ensuring that Qodeworld's data assets are reliable and trustworthy post-migration.
- • Ultimately, you will act as the primary liaison, fostering seamless communication and collaboration between the business units, product management, and the technical development teams. Your ability to bridge these different perspectives will be key to the successful delivery of our data platform modernization goals.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a Technical Business Systems Analyst, with a significant focus on data warehousing or cloud data migration projects.
- • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including understanding its architecture, capabilities, and best practices for migration and utilization.
- • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling techniques (e.g., Kimball, Inmon), and database technologies.
- • Strong proficiency in SQL for complex data analysis, querying, data profiling, and validation purposes.
- • Demonstrated experience in creating detailed source-to-target mappings, understanding data lineage, and performing data reconciliation.
- • Experience working within Agile Scrum methodologies, including writing user stories and participating in sprint ceremonies.
- • Ability to comprehend and navigate complex data flows and work effectively with large datasets.
- • Excellent documentation skills, with a proven ability to create clear and concise BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and data mapping documents.
- • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.
