- • As a Technical Recruiter at Ashby, you will play a pivotal role in scaling the company’s technical talent acquisition function during a period of rapid growth, directly contributing to the hiring of senior+ engineering, product, design, security, QA, IT, and data talent across North America and beyond. Your work will not only fill critical roles but also shape the recruiting function itself by building scalable, data-informed processes that elevate the candidate and hiring manager experience.
- • Day to day, you will: own full-cycle technical recruiting for complex, senior-level roles across multiple domains; partner with hiring managers at the VP and founder level to define role requirements and calibrate on candidate profiles; conduct deep market mapping and talent intelligence to identify emerging talent pools; design and execute innovative sourcing strategies beyond inbound and referrals; coach first-time hiring managers on structuring effective interview processes; manage multiple concurrent searches with varying scopes and timelines; leverage Ashby’s own ATS to optimize workflows, track metrics, and experiment with AI-assisted sourcing and screening; provide product feedback to engineering and design teams based on recruiter-facing tool usage; and contribute to a documentation-first culture by refining and sharing best practices in long-form writing.
- • You will join a high-impact, rapidly growing Tech Recruiting team of six spread across North America and Europe, which has already doubled the engineering team since its inception and is poised for 2x–5x hiring growth. The team operates with significant autonomy, values first-principles thinking over rigid playbooks, and is deeply embedded in product development — giving recruiters a unique voice in shaping tools that make their own work easier.
- • In this role, you will develop expertise in senior technical talent assessment, gain hands-on experience shaping recruiting strategy at a scaling SaaS company, refine your ability to balance data-driven decision-making with creative sourcing, and become a trusted advisor to technical leaders. You’ll also have the opportunity to influence product direction as an internal tester of Ashby’s features and contribute to thought leadership in the TA space through storytelling with analytics.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven track record as an expert technical recruiter in a product-led SaaS company, with deep experience hiring for engineering and adjacent technical roles including Product Design, Product Management, IT, Security, QA, and Data.
- • Demonstrated success owning end-to-end recruitment for staff+ and senior-level technical positions, including the ability to build trust quickly with technical leadership and hiring managers.
- • Strong data-driven mindset, with experience optimizing recruiting workflows, measuring quality of hire, and using analytics to improve sourcing, screening, and conversion metrics.
- • Expertise in developing innovative sourcing strategies and talent mapping techniques that go beyond inbound applications and referrals to uncover passive talent.
- • Ability to manage multiple concurrent searches across varying domains and seniority levels while maintaining high touch and process discipline.
- • Comfort operating with high autonomy in a fast-moving, scaling environment where processes are still being refined and first-principles thinking is valued over predefined playbooks.
