- • Own full-cycle recruiting for senior and niche software engineering roles across Autonomy, Robotics, Embedded Software, Perception, Planning, Controls, and Distributed Systems.
- • Partner directly with engineering leadership to shape hiring strategy, influence workforce planning, and prioritize talent needs for next-generation aerospace and autonomous systems.
- • Build scalable, proactive pipelines for highly specialized technical talent that is scarce in the market and critical to Shield AI’s product development.
- • Serve as a strategic talent advisor to engineering managers, providing data-driven insights on market trends, candidate availability, and competitive compensation benchmarks.
- • Design and execute targeted sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill roles in deep-tech domains including aerospace, defense, and autonomous systems.
- • Maintain rigorous standards for candidate quality while balancing speed-to-hire in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, compensation, and diversity teams to ensure alignment on hiring goals and inclusive hiring practices.
- • Manage relationships with technical communities, universities, conferences, and niche job boards to maintain visibility for Shield AI among top-tier engineering talent.
- • Track and report on key recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, offer acceptance rate, source effectiveness, and candidate experience.
- • Navigate complex hiring scenarios involving security clearances, relocation, international hiring, and specialized visa sponsorship requirements.
- • Act as a brand ambassador for Shield AI within technical circles, representing the company’s mission to protect service members and civilians through intelligent systems.
- • Adapt recruiting tactics dynamically to evolving product priorities and organizational growth across U.S., European, Middle Eastern, and Asia-Pacific engineering teams.
- • Maintain deep understanding of Shield AI’s product lines — including V-BAT, X-BAT, Hivemind Enterprise, and Hivemind Vision — to effectively communicate technical context to candidates.
- • Champion candidate experience by ensuring timely communication, transparent feedback loops, and respectful engagement throughout the hiring process.
- • Continuously refine recruiting processes to improve efficiency, reduce bias, and scale talent acquisition without compromising quality.
