- • As a Technical Sales Specialist (Gene Therapy) at Sartorius AG, you will drive sales growth and expand the company’s presence in the gene and nucleic acid markets by promoting Advanced Therapy Solutions to biopharma, biotech, CDMO, academic, and hospital accounts across the Greater Boston area. This role is critical to advancing life-saving therapies by connecting innovative technologies with customers who are developing next-generation treatments for cancer, genetic disorders, and other serious diseases.
- • You will execute a strategic territory growth plan, manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals, and achieve product-specific win targets by embedding Sartorius’ solutions into preclinical, clinical, and commercial gene therapy workflows. Success depends on your ability to understand complex scientific customer needs, articulate technical value propositions, and build trusted relationships with scientists, researchers, and executive decision-makers.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include: driving revenue growth through proactive promotion of gene therapy-focused products; identifying and pursuing new business opportunities using strategic planning and commercial tools; traveling up to 50% within the territory to engage customers face-to-face; building and sustaining long-term relationships with key stakeholders; delivering compelling sales presentations, proposals, and pricing solutions; owning CRM execution in Salesforce (SFDC) with rigorous lead and opportunity management; collaborating cross-functionally to grow strategic accounts; providing technical and commercial support to advance customer success; championing the launch and adoption of new products; and continuously monitoring market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- • You will join a global life sciences leader listed on the German DAX and TecDAX, where Sartorius enables faster translation of scientific discoveries into real-world medicines. The company fosters a dynamic, innovative environment focused on fighting cancer, dementia, and other diseases, and values employees who are ambitious, collaborative, and committed to making a meaningful impact on global health.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in gene therapy manufacturing processes, advanced therapy technologies, and commercialization strategies within the life sciences industry. You will strengthen your consultative selling skills, master complex sales cycles in regulated markets, and gain experience influencing cross-functional teams — positioning you for long-term career growth in technical sales, sales leadership, or strategic marketing within the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.
