- • The Technical Service Representative role at Solenis LLC is a customer-facing position focused on delivering technical expertise and on-site support to paper mills in the Kent and South West regions of the United Kingdom. This role is critical to helping customers improve operational efficiency, product quality, and sustainability through the application of Solenis’ water treatment chemistries, process aids, and monitoring systems. As a representative of a global leader in water and hygiene solutions, the incumbent will directly contribute to Solenis’ mission of enabling cleaner, safer, and more sustainable industrial operations.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include providing technical advice and troubleshooting support on-site at paper mill facilities, optimising chemical dosing and application to solve production challenges such as deposit control, foam management, and water quality issues. The role involves analysing operational data to recommend data-driven improvements, identifying opportunities to enhance process efficiency, reduce waste, and improve environmental performance. Building and maintaining trusted relationships with mill personnel is central to the role, requiring regular visits, clear communication of technical recommendations, and follow-up to ensure solution effectiveness. Collaboration with internal teams — including research and development, supply chain, and sales — ensures seamless product delivery and service alignment. The representative also supports business growth by acting as a trusted technical advisor, identifying upsell opportunities, and contributing to customer retention through consistent, high-quality service.
- • Solenis is a globally recognised leader in specialty chemicals for water-intensive industries, with over 16,500 employees across 130 countries and a strong commitment to innovation, sustainability, and safety. Headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, the company operates 70 manufacturing facilities worldwide and has been honoured as a 2025 Best Managed Company Gold Standard recipient. The UK team serves a diverse base of pulp and paper customers, offering solutions that help mills meet stringent environmental regulations while improving yield and reducing operational costs. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge chemical technologies and real-world industrial processes within a purpose-driven organisation that values employee development and environmental stewardship.
- • In this role, the Technical Service Representative will develop deep, hands-on expertise in industrial chemical applications within the pulp and paper sector, gaining practical experience in process optimisation, troubleshooting, and technical consulting. The position provides a strong foundation for career growth in technical service, field engineering, or industrial sales, with opportunities to expand into broader responsibilities across Solenis’ global operations. Through structured training, mentorship, and exposure to cross-functional teams, the individual will build valuable skills in customer engagement, data analysis, and solution selling — all while contributing to measurable improvements in customer sustainability and operational performance.
