  • • As a Territory Account Executive for Block, Inc. in the DC Metro area, you will serve as Square’s competitive advantage in a high-opportunity market, driving economic empowerment by helping local businesses grow through Square’s integrated software, hardware, and financial services ecosystem.
  • • You will spend approximately 80% of your week in the field conducting 50–60 targeted business visits weekly, running full-cycle sales motions from lead generation to close, delivering live demos, and building trust-based relationships with sellers in restaurants, retail, and services verticals.
  • • You will partner cross-functionally to ensure seamless onboarding, implement referral strategies, develop top-of-funnel engines through door-to-door outreach and community engagement, and maintain rigorous Salesforce activity tracking to forecast accurately and exceed quota in a high-accountability culture.
  • • You will master key verticals to diagnose business challenges, position tailored Square solutions, and consistently outperform targets while growing your expertise in payment processing, loyalty, payroll, and time management technologies within a mission-driven, high-performance team.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3+ years of sales experience in a full-cycle closing role with field sales experience
  • • Proven ability to exceed sales targets, sell diverse product ecosystems, and close complex deals independently in fast-paced environments
  • • Business development experience including hunting and cold calling, reliable transportation, and residence in the DC Metro market
  • • Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent CRM proficiency
  • • 2+ years of payment processing or related technology experience (payroll, loyalty, time management) — nice-to-have
  • • 1+ years of relevant audience experience selling to restaurants, retailers, or service-based businesses — nice-to-have
