  • • As a Territory Account Executive at Block, Inc. (Square), you will serve as the company’s presence and competitive advantage in the New Haven market, driving economic empowerment by bringing Square’s integrated commerce and financial solutions directly to local businesses.
  • • You will spend approximately 80% of your week in the field conducting 50–60 targeted business visits weekly, leading full-cycle sales motions from lead generation and demos to closing deals across Square’s product suite, while maintaining rigorous Salesforce tracking and forecasting.
  • • You will join a high-performance, field-driven sales organization focused on building pipeline from the ground up, establishing trust-based relationships with sellers, and partnering cross-functionally to ensure seamless onboarding and fast time-to-value for new customers.
  • • In this role, you will develop deep vertical expertise in restaurants, retail, and services, master consultative and competitive selling, implement referral strategies, and consistently exceed quota in a high-accountability culture where operational excellence and strategic execution are rewarded.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3+ years of sales experience in a full-cycle closing role with field sales experience
  • • Experience exceeding sales targets, selling a diverse ecosystem of products, and closing complex deals
  • • Ability to drive deals independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • • Business development experience (e.g., hunting and cold calling)
  • • Reliable transportation and residence in the market being served (New Haven, CT)
  • • Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent
  • • Nice-to-have: 2+ years of payment processing or related technology experience (payroll, loyalty, time management)
  • • Nice-to-have: 1+ years of relevant audience experience selling to restaurants, retailers, or service-based businesses
